For you all to get a goin’….

Don’t stop,
Don’t quit,
Cuz no time for fear to show in…

All your hopes,
Your dreams,
There’s so much to do just go and…

Take your time!
No rush,

From the time
You were born
I worked hard to bring the best!

And at night
If you’re scared
I’d hold you on my chest.

It was rough
It was hard
Never showed my tears at rest.

The next day
Off I went
And at night back to our nest!

YOU ALL GROWN!

Made you strong
Taught you things that you would need.

Picked you up
When you fell
Patched you up when you would bleed.

As I watched
All of you
I was scared I would succeed.

But you rose
To the chore
Never once showed any greed.

Taught to cook
Taught to wash
Make your beds to be so clean

Though you fought
Cats and dogs
Sometimes man so very mean!

Taught you all
To stay tight
No matter what would come inside

Kept you safe
Through it all
Even when we had to hide,,

Off you went
One by one
Making marks of your own!

Big and tall
Small and strong
All of you on your own throne!

Just as proud
As can be
Always smile when on my minds

Four of you
All of you
Make this man proud to be mine!

You know, I may not have always had it all for you guys
But I want you to know - rain or shine - do or die
I did the best I could - with what I could
Giving you all the same opportunities!
The same foundations of life!
No matter how young I was when I started, 
I followed through every day to be your only father
The one who I hope one day you’ll be as proud of me
As I am of all of you
But it’s so hard to believe….
