Sol Ortega is an argentinian DJ and producer, who haven't stop travelling the world and playing at big clubs since Boiler Room's edition of 2018 in Buenos Aires, which was next to Richie Hawtin. Since then, she has performed at massive events and clubs such as Berghain, Concrete, Watergate, Fabric London, Robert Johnson, Toffler Festival, Fabrik Madrid, Destino Arena, among many others, next to several of the biggest artists of the house and techno scene.

Always being led by groovy beats, jacking hi hats, dubb-ish, motor city, and even ravy sounds, she has released some of her own music in labels such as Elements, Rhythm Nation, Detroit Classic Gallery, Lumina... and there's much more music upcoming this year, including a 4 track 12" on Unitas Multiplex, with a banger remix by Narciss'.

She's now about to start her 3rd european tour of the year, and will be visiting Germany, including Berghain on June the 24th, and D! Club in Laussane (Switzerland) next to FJAAK.

After exactly half year CAYO LARGO is back on Cosmicleaf Records series with the freshest goodies.

It was in 1995 when Cayo Largo first started playing music in the local venues of his city. The tracks which he chose in that era were mainly house with a small touch of progressive house. He started music production in 2005 with different monikers, mainly producing progressive house. There were numerous influences as the years went by and in 2010 he made an attempt in the field of downtempo music production, where he experiments with various music genres (chill, breaks, deep, lounge).
In 2012 his first downtempo EP came out at Stellar Fountain, with deeper rhythms. In 2013, he meets his friend Themistokles (Themi Undergrove) and their mutual love for music has them collaborating, thus it is not long until their first EP together in a more Tech House attitude, reaches the audiences from Kick and Beat Records. This collaboration goes on, when in 2015 their first personal album ( Cayo Largo & Themi Undergroove – Stigmes) gets released from Midnight Soul (Rosario, Argentina). After a 20-year course, Cayo Largo has established Deep,Funky, Break, Chill, Tech House and sometimes more Techno rhythms in his sets.

Next step was his second album, this time at Cosmicleaf Records from Athens, Greece. The album ‘The Notes Of My Soul’ also includes a collaboration with longtime friend Shocker which released on November 2016.

In reference to the late psychonaut Terrence McKenna, perhaps best known for his research into the unknown world and culture of the magic mushroom. First we’re treated to the title track, carefully crafted by Sordo and Dubphone, we are slowly ushered into an ethereal realm of sound and groove that pushes gently on the feet and lifts lightly on the soul. Next, Sordo and Kosmas create heavier vibe with ‘Summer Liquid’. This is a spectacular romp in the world of atmospheric tech house that delivers enough pressure and drive to keep us up on our feet, but without too much pressure. It’s a delicate journey, and a very satisfying experience altogether, showing us more about ourselves than we thought possible and leaving us in a better place at the end.

Gabriel Sordo, Kosmas - Summer Liquid (Snippet)

This week I found a cd of one of my radio shows recorded in December 2009 lying around and decided to give it a listen.
The show was called 'The Hybrid Mix' was recorded under my then alias Tom F, it aired from 2006 to 2013 on numerous stations in Greece, the internet and was also syndicated to various territories. The name came about as I have long believed that the boundaries between genres have become so blurred that there are no more genres, just musical hybrids.
30 mins long - as all shows were split into half hour slots back then so the stations could air their commercials - this is part 2, I can't find part 1 as this was saved on a computer whose HD crashed and I lost a lot of material.
My shows were  - and are - always recorded live, without any digital manipulation, you hear exactly as I play. I have always tried to deliver the feeling and the flow of being in a club, which was quite a dangerous rope to walk back then.
