Next up on Kaluki Musik, we welcome Birmingham based DJ and producer and co-Founder Of WYLD, Ryan Resso, who makes his debut to the label with his brand new, 'Stroke It' EP, featuring an exciting remix from Wheats. Ryan's signature brand of Minimal Deep Tech has found favour with many within the scene including early support from Franky Rizardo, Francisco Allendes, Joel Corry, Sofi Tukker and radio support from Kiss FM, SLAM! and Radio FG. The 'Stroke It' EP reflects Resso's unique sound throughout, offering perfectly mixed percussion, hypnotic bass groves, organic drums and mischievous synths. Completing the package is Wheats remix of the b-side 'Morning Sunrise' which delivers a fantasically bubbling bassline, laid back drums with hip swinging claps and mesmerising atmospherics throughout.

Route 94 makes his Solid Grooves debut as he serves up his first original material for two years with the infectious grooves of 'Clapped'. 

Having broken through via a series of globally renowned anthems, Rowan Jones, aka Route 94, has been hard at work in the studio of late, taking time away to explore pockets of early influences across house, techno, minimal, disco and beyond. Unveiling his first original material for over two years, he makes his first appearance on Solid Grooves with his new single 'Clapped' - revealing a favourite of label co-founder PAWSA's and a staple track from his sets across the summer.

A vibrant energy-fuelled production harnessing soulful vocals, driving low-ends, skipping percussion and spiralling synths, 'Clapped' brings an abundance of vigour to showcase a production built for the peak time as Jones makes a big return in impressive fashion.

Funk Cartel bring their rave-ready sounds to Hottrax with the three-track ‘Discotexx EP’. 

Brothers Blame Rory and Kimono Cam have quickly risen through the ranks with releases on the likes of Etiquette and Deeperfect, as well as running their own THUNDR imprint. The taste-making duo now step up for Jamie Jones's always-on-point Hottrax with three robust and richly detailed cuts. 

'Discotexx' kicks off with freaky vocals, sci-fi sonic details and plenty of effects that make the track irresistible. The superb 'Higher' is another slice of dance floor dynamite, with a fluid bassline combined with addictive grooves for a spaced-out, futuristic track. Last but not least is 'Feel It,' another full flavour cut with punchy drum programming, trippy vocal fragments, and whirring sounds taking it into cosmic realms.

Building on the momentum of the first release in 2020, Frame Music kicks off 2021 with another standout new EP, this time from Ash-R who serves up two originals while Marcellus steps up to remix. 

Ash-R hails from the east end of London and has played key clubs like 93 Feet East, Ministry Of Sound and Distrikt Leeds, all the while going with his own signature stripped back and sleek house sound that is utterly fresh. 

His excellent opener Maureen is a slick and punchy house cut with icy hi hats gliding over a rubbery groove. Deep yet driving, it is electronic house for the heads thanks to the spaced out pads and infectious sense of groove. Marcellus has released on labels like Elrow, Toolroom and VIVa MUSiC and he steps up to remix with more drive, toughening up the kicks and layering in some extra bite to the percussion. 

Last of all, Hannah gets more dreamy with balmy pads circling round the kinetic drum programming. Spoken word vocals add atmosphere, the bulbous bass keeps pulling you in, and the whole thing is perfect for up close and personal back room parties. 

These are three super stylish minimal house cuts for those who know.
