            Every so often, the constellations line up, the earth is on a perfect axis, and a star is born. Tom Pasley is such a star. Hailing from the gritty, crime ridden, impoverished Eastdale neighborhood of Chattanooga, TN, Pasley is among the many greats to derive from those same streets; R&B crooner Usher Raymond, Jazz and Blues singers Bessie Smith and Valaida Snow. Just 20 years old Pasley has been rapping and singing since he was nine. Inspired by a musically inclined older cousin armed with a survivor’s determination to make it out of the streets, Pasley took to the booth with a vengeance and within a matter of just a few short years signed to independent label All Nyte Music and released a series of singles, “Cool wit Me” and “Choice.”  Temporary derailment of a short incarceration back in 2017 only further confirmed Pasley’s need to create a finer path for himself and his family. As a barely legal, high school dropout the odds seemed stacked with the seductive pull of the streets working against him, and having already dodged a bullet that could have possibly landed him in prison for an extended amount of time, Pasley’s urgency increased. He knew it was now or never to get his message out, “Being incarcerated made me learn that it’s important to watch the company you keep and to surround yourself with positive people because sometimes all it takes is being in the wrong place at the wrong time to end up throwing your life away. That’s just a small piece of the message that comes across in my music.”
 
            Some musical influences that enthuse his flow are Future, the late 2 Pac Shakur, and Drake.  Anointed with the ability to rap and sing, Tom Pasley brings a variety of flavor to the table. With a soulful sound polished by a childhood spent singing in a Baptist choir and life experiences of struggle and hard times, Pasley is masterfully able to apply his art to the pen creating songs that have been described by music connoisseurs as nothing less than, “amazing.” Pasley’s single, “Last One Left”, reached over a million views in just a few short weeks.
            When Tom Pasley is not in the studio, he is touring around the country performing in clubs and at private parties, lending his vocals and lyrics to the work of other upcoming artists, or doing radio interviews. Pasley would describe his music as, “Something for the people. I speak for everyone who does not have a voice in the struggle and cannot speak for themselves. I think everyone likes me because I’m authentic, I don’t bite my tongue, and I’m not afraid to address the elephant in the room or to vocalize what everyone else is thinking.”
 
            Tom Pasley is currently based out of Atlanta, GA where he has aligned himself with some of the industry’s best producers and executives as he gears up to release his much anticipated EP titled Tom P. vs. Tom Pasley in Summer 2018.
