This song was written about leaving The Isle of Skye where we lived for just over a year. It seemed every time I travelled anywhere on the island during the time of our eventual departure that the scenery became more beautiful, with ever wilder, more spectacular displays of light and shade over the landscape. It almost felt as if the Island was saying 'Stay, look at all this beauty'.

Enjoying making music in Harrogate and playing various venues including Harrogate Folk Club on the first Wednesday of every month.  I played the folk clubs in County Durham in the 60's; many venues in East Anglia with the folk group Merlin in the 70's and 80's; played jazz in Devon through the 90's; and had a fantastic musical time in Goodrich through the 'noughties' with Andy Herbert on bass in the bands - Loose Covers, Twisted Blues, Trilemma, and Twisted Jazz. Enjoyed 10 great years as guitarist for the Monmouth Big Band and am now focusing on playing acoustic instrumentals and songs in Yorkshire. Enjoy!
