Variation on the "Kanouzo" (also seen as "Kanazoe" and other variant spellings) rhythm of the Bobo people in Burkina Faso and Mali. The Balafon is a Marimba-like instrument, see here for more info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balafon

Produced on MacBook Pro using Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61 Keyboard, with sampled Instrument plug-ins from NI Komplete Kontrol and NI Kontakt 5 Libraries. DAW used was Apple Logic Pro X. Image is of an Oud belonging to a good friend, S.K. ... hopefully we'll be playing this composition live together sometime soon.
