"I loved the bootleg era of dance music. I always thought it was fascinating that - with the good ones! - two songs that were created completely independently could sound so great together. When I first heard Miami Sound Machine's "Doctor Beat" over Mylo's "Doctor Pressure" it seemed almost inconceivable that one hadn't influenced the other. Another one I always loved from then is Richard X's blend of Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me" and Gary Numan/Tubeway Army's "Are Friends Electric?". So when new GU A&R Tom Caruso suggested we remake/remix it, I was in." Kevin McKay, March 2020.

Tom Caruso is a dynamic DJ and producer based in Belfast, renowned for his deep, funky vibes and passion for vocal led tracks. As the founder and owner of the  label Free House Music, with an ethos based on releasing only Original vocal House music, Tom has carved out a significant niche in the electronic music scene.  

Formerly an A&R at Glasgow Underground, Tom has a keen ear for talent. He played a pivotal role in discovering and signing artists like Earth N Days, Odyssey Inc, Discosteps, Gianmarco Limenta, and Oscar Barrila, among many others.

As a prolific producer, Tom has released music on prestigious labels such as Glasgow Underground, Deepalma, Midnight Riot, Skint, D-Vine Sounds, and Hungarian Hot Wax. His productions have garnered support from industry heavyweights like Danny Howard, Sam Divine, Claptone, Carl Cox, Jess Bays, and Mark Knight.

Under his alias TomCole, he produced an official remix of Fatboy Slim's "Talking bout My Baby," showcasing his versatility and production prowess. Carl Cox recognized Tom's exceptional talent, naming him one to watch in his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.

Tom's DJ career includes performances at iconic venues like Pacha Ibiza and Lush Portrush, where he captivates audiences with his eclectic sets that span from house and deep house to disco. His growing reputation is built on his unique ability to blend deep, funky sounds with soulful vocals, creating unforgettable dancefloor experiences.
