Tom Hayes - Tribute To The Original (SBR022)

I was born and raised in Klagenfurt, a small town in the South of Austria. I early got influenced by music. First and foremost by my parents and their friends who where mostly jazz and funk related musicians. As a Teenager I absolutly felt into Hip Hop. Artists like Gangstarr, Jeru, Artifacts, The X-Man and of course the Grandmaster DJ Premier as well as classics like Curtis Mayfield and James Brown shaped my taste of music. As getting older I began to fell more and more the grooves of House music. Soon I got infected by the House spirit and wanted to become a part of this unique movement. So I bought my first equipment and started DJing myself. Since 2008 I was playing in serveral carinthian clubs. From Tech- over Detroit to Deephouse, I always tried to combine different styles to take the audience on a musical journey. Recently I felt myself more and more attracted to Deep House, something you will also mention in my mixes. In late 2011 I moved to Vienna due to the active EDM scene and their possibilities.
