Als afterparty van de concertreeks Parkies draaide ik een 4h set in mijn ouderlijk huis waar mn pa tot 1991 cafe had. Het is een House setje geworden met op het einde een goei uurke de betere retro schijven.

MixTape 020 : December 2024 Groove House Vinyl TOM_TT_

Het einde van 2024. Dat vertaal ik efkes in een Vinyl-Mix'ke van 2uurtjes.

Maar eerst......
Wat een fantastisch muzikaal jaar heb ik erop zitten. Net als in 2023 stond ik op Retro*Nation in Hamont, met voor mij Roy en Yannick, en na mij Jimmy Goldschmidtz. Die avond werd knallend afgesloten door Ghost en Furax. Dik feest!!!

Enkele maanden voordien, begin mei, werd ik gebeld of ik zin had om een vinylset te spelen op de Dagdisco van Vrienden&Vinyl te Pelt. En/of dat ik daar zin in had! Vinyl blijft toch het gene waar ik het liefste mee draai! Miljaar! Wat een feest was me dat!!! Bij BarGanz in Pelt was het een dik feest op het terras.

Voor VinylMasters, de heren Devid en Emanuel, heb ik ook weer enkele sets gedraaid. De laatste was bij George and the Bear in Genk. Die zal ergens begin 2025 online komen. Ook dat was dik de moeite.

Verder nog enkele verjaardagsfeestjes gedraaid, waar ik me ook telkens enorm geamuseerd heb.

Aan allen die me ook in 2024 de kans gaven om te spelen, een welgemeende dank je wel.

MixTape 24 alweer in de reeks. Deze keer ben ik in de collectie 12" gaan zoeken naar platen die in mijn ogen (of oren?) jaren geleden in "Den Illusion" gedraaid werden. Enkele van de nummers zijn afkomstig van de 2 heren olie de Ground en The Level gemaakt hebben tot wat ze tot op de dag vandaag nog zijn. DJ Jan en Christophe. 2 voorbeelden voor mij EN beiden toppers met vinyl. Zo heb ik het graag.

mixtape 024: April 2025: A trip down memory lane: Illusion on vinyl

De eerste DJ op het eerste festival in België
Op vrijdag 2 mei opende in België het festival seizoen met First Of Season in Kinrooi. Steve&Raff hostte daar op vrijdag de Retro tent. Het was een geweldige nacht vol van Dance, Trance en Retro muziek gespeeld door toppers zoals Jimmy Goldschmidz, Mischa Gruning, DJ Jan, Steve & Raff en ikzelf. Het was een eer om tussen deze grote namen te mogen staan, en het festival seizoen op gang te mogen stampen.

De set begint met de normale "Eurodance", om richting het einde toe behoorlijke hard trance te worden. Beginnen met de Celebrate van Fiocco en eindigen met The Message. 


de reden dat ik meedoe aan deze contest is dat ik enorm graag draai, en dat heel graag vaker op een podium zou willen doen. K heb hier in de buurt op enkele feesten (Retro*Nation Outdoor te Hamont, First Of Season Festival (USB) en de evenementen van Vrienden&Vinyl (met vinyl) gedraaid, wat steeds erg plezant was. Ook draai ik vaak met vinyl, onderandere voor het Youtube kanaal VinylMasters uit genk.

RetroStarzz Contest Eurodance Tom TT

Parkies, het grootste kleinste festival van Belgie strijkt ook dit jaar weer neer in Achel. Wekelijks is er, na Parkies, in Cafe 't Molenhuis de afterparty "Beats & Drinks". Dit jaar mocht ik de spits afbijten om de afterparty's op gang te trappen.
Voor mij extra nostalgisch omdat hier voor mij de basis van m'n muziek licht. Nu, dik 35jaar later mocht ik er nog eens spelen. 
Het setje bevat voor allen wat wils, gaande van house/groove over Eurodance tot stevigere beats die thuishoorden in de discotheken van de jaren 90 en 00.
