Barbara and Basic Moves have been sending emails back and forth the last 7 years since she works at Scape Mastering alongside engineer Stefan Betke. She is a super skilled dj with a backpack full of experience and knowledge of club music and beyond. It felt logical to us to send another kind of email that wasn't an order form or payment confirmation. hahaha.

This mix puts both our feet back on the ground. Barbara fluently mixes minimal house and dub techno with a unique groove that feels so timeless and oh so clubbbbbyyy. Thanks a lot for teaching and showing us your way.

What’s in Barbara’s backpack? She started her career in Munich working for Disko-B in the mid nineties and soon became a resident at the green flokati room of the cult venue Ultraschall. In 1998 she left for Berlin to work as a freelance press and radio promoter. Around 1999 she co-found the label ˜scape, together with Stefan Betke aka Pole, creating an open platform for the productions of Kit Clayton, Jan Jelinek, Deadbeat, Pole amongst many others.

Autumn 2009 Barbara Preisinger founded the 12inch vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE which is focused on organic sounding and diverse club music, with releases by Betke, Mike Huckaby, Baaz, John Tejada and The Mole. The label´s founding year also marked the beginning of the event series DEEP IN THE BOX with regular parties at Berlin´s Club der Visionäre, Wilde Renate, Ipse among other places. In September 2015 Barbara Preisinger moved DEEP IN THE BOX to the Globus floor at Berlin´s legendary TRESOR club, where she has been hosting her parties every 2 months since then.

Ben Vedren returns with a fantastic new EP on his mothership Reduce Records to make for standout third release that comes with a remix from label co-founder, Leiris. Delicate tones, transcending the listener to the realms of, Reduce Records. 

Ben’s inspiration for his track In-Harmony comes from his meeting with Japanese percussionist Aki-ra Sunrise on a jam session 10 years ago in Paris. The two friends stayed in touch and they have just created a new audio visual show called Bio-scillations that they debuted at the Centre Pompidou in Paris last year, with new shows planned at Mutek Japan and a recording of the performance set to get released on Reduce. The chemistry is real here, reflecting in the third release of the label.  

The track itself, In-harmony, is a minimalistic and trippy journey into deep, letting it simmer on the mind will open new avenues beyond the imagination. Super groovy and with organic percussion, it leads you into a surrealist world with real style.

Tout d'abord un grand passioné de musique et de tout ce qui y touche,mais par dessus tout de MIX ! Depuis ce temps j'ai eu la chance de pouvoir jouer dans quelques clubs de la capitale comme le tout premier, le WAX ( merci Miss Sin ), le Six Seven, Le Gibus, la Peniche Concorde Atlantique pour diverses soirées ( Reelax, De La House, Respect, Funky Room & Terrassa ) merci BEAUCOUP Filipe et Fistaille !!!, Le Moderne, Le Man-Ray, Le Zèbre De Belleville, Le CubSuperBar ( wassup Dom & Walter), Le Bus Palladium, la Gay Pride sur le char Air France ( merci Lapinou ), Le Moog, le Kitch'Up ( bravo John pour tout le travail que tu as fait et pour ta gentillesse ), la Loco, le Babylon, ainsi que de nombreuses soirées privées...
