Créé en 2021, « Baishi » fait le tour d’horizon d’un seul et même endroit musical. Celui des peaux lâches, des cordes vives et des couleurs cuivres. L’écriture construite en « tableaux » autour de mélodies étirées joue sur la densité, par empilements et dégringolades de lignes, bâtissant des reliefs plus que des morceaux sur un tempo ample, élastique. L’amplification des cuivres, les réglages poussés des éléments de percussions, ainsi que le travail sur l’accordage et la préparation des guitares confèrent au groupe un son volontairement brut, très organique, qui tend à le rapprocher d’un ensemble de musique traditionnel électrifié. Librement inspiré de la musique du théâtre Nô et du Gagaku japonais, « Baishi » est dédié à Igor Stravinsky.
