CLAPTONE UNVEILS NEW SINGLE ‘DEAR LIFE’
 
The man with the golden scooped beak rises again with ‘Dear Life’ the first single from his debut album, coming later this year.

Dear Life is the next chapter for Claptone taken from his first full length which is set to drop in Autumn 2015. The mysterious enigma with the golden mask has gone from strength to strength of late, following an acclaimed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, a Beatport chart-topping smash remix for Gregory Porter and an incredible live show at the Miami Ultra Music Festival.
 
The single however breaks new ground for Claptone as he delves deeper into songwriting. This time he is reunited with French singer Jaw (1/3 of production trio dOP) with whom he worked on ’No Eyes’ which went on to became a big record back in 2013 on Exploited. In new offering ‘Dear Life’ they've created a spellbinding track which sounds as good on your stereo at home as it does on the dancefloor.

The masked figure recently shared teaser 'The Music Got Me', the first glimpse of the album and a track which went on to reach the top 5 on Beatport’s deep house chart, as did B-side Forest of Love. For the club heads, Claptone and Jaw deliver a second cut ‘Secret Lover’, a track which is packed with raw funk for your dance floors and a highlight in his recent Essential Mix.

Often concerned about 'the future of house music', Lee Curtiss provides a mix to ingrain his mastery of sensual synth sounds.

Acting as a part of Visionquest with Seth Troxler, Shaun Reeves, and Ryan Crosson, Lee first made his mark as a producer with releases for Spectral, Get Physical, Supplement Facts, and Wolf & Lamb. Through DJ sets that mine the depths of dance music’s history and live PAs that pave the way to its future, Lee has showcased his inimitable sound in the world’s most esteemed clubs such as Circo Loco, DC10, and Fabric London.

In addition to residencies in New York, Chicago, Miami, and Berlin, Lee has appeared at festivals as large as Glastonbury, Time Warp, and Creamfields. He's crafted remix work for pop icons such as Tracey Thorne and director David Lynch, and greatly garners his influences from groups such as My Bloody Valentine, INXS, and Roxy Music. These diverse influences shine through in his work, furthering his artistic goal of “bringing non dance music into dance music."

Ricky, who has featured on DHS three times already, is Australia's best-loved festival promoter by day and a freaking great DJ by night. Andy Ef is a regular on the Sydney circuit playing some of Australia's biggest festivals.

As the head-honcho of Return to Rio, Ricky is responsible for creating all the magic and mayhem that has made this annual shindig quite unlike anything other, in the land down under. Billed as the 'ultimate weekend away' and now in it's 5th year, this dance music extravaganza counts the likes of Dixon and Carl Cox as its biggest fans following marathon sets at the event. Other appearances and Rio residents over the years have included LTJ Bukem, Mr C, DJ EZ, The Cuban Brothers, Mano Le Tough, M.A.N.D.Y. and Atish.

Born and bred in the UK, Cooper has an international reputation from his stints behind the decks worldwide. Having launched the exclusive Homegrown parties throughout the UK and Europe, Ricky became a familiar face on the wheels of steel at London’s End nightclub & The Cross, among others. In Portugal, Ricky Cooper A.K.A DJ Tricky was resident at Club de Baia where people would travel from afar to attend such extraordinary nights. In addition to this, he annually graced the decks for the World Snowboarding Championships, Hit the Gap, in Italy and counts A-listers Kate Moss and Jade Jagger as fans, once flying him to L.A. to play for one of their exclusive parties.  

Another career highlight from his DJing escapades stateside is a set at Burning Man where he put on one heck of a party with Lee Burridge, Lee Foss and Soul Clap. 

Closer to home, Ricky Cooper dominated Australia’s most infamous super club, Home, in its prime, for six years, his deep house journeys becoming the stuff of legend. Today, he's a regular on the scene, performing across Australia for Circo Loco, S*A*S*H, Subsonic and more.

About Andy Ef

Originally from Cairo, Egypt. Andy Ef has been a regular on the Sydney scene for a couple of years now, with appearances at Electric Gardens, Return To Rio, Blueprint, S.A.S.H, We Love, Night Groove and more he's fast becoming a Sydney favourite for his dreamy progressive driving track choices and skill at mixing them together seamlessly as if there was no start or end to a track.

No stranger to the electronic music scene, signing his first release at 18 years old to “Acute Recordings, US” in 2006 and subsequently winning a remix competition which was hosted by “Bellarine Recordings, AU” in 2007. His style is characterised by a warm, driven, deep and atmospheric sound.
