We had help from Rod Duarte on Drums, Christine Moad on bass, Felipe Mejia Saldarriaga was around helping out through most of the process, Tim Knowlton for engineering, Paul McDonald did multiple mixes which helped give ideas for this final producers mix, and several Berklee professors (there's at least 5) who helped directly with the project from engineering the drum sessions to helping with the mix to working out the song form. Television Eyes is very special to me because it is the song that I wrote and played for my Berklee audition. After being accepted into Berklee, I recorded and used the piece for a Music Technology project but I knew the song deserved a much better recording than I was capable of producing so I collaborated with producer John Michael Kawooya to finish the job. Television Eyes has made it through many transitions and helped me tremendously. I hope you can enjoy this little number as much as I have!

Television Eyes

Tomara Petty is equal parts devoted singer/songwriter, intense performer and motivated music business entrepreneur. Her roots are firmly grounded in vocal expression and creativity, visible in her undeniably catchy, gritty indie songs. Her creations are rife with vivid, open-ended visual metaphors, eliciting emotion from the listener and inviting them to bring their own experiences into each song. Tomara’s ability to write moving lyrics and songs led her to become interested in cultivating a strong presence on stage in order to bring these songs to a larger audience. Her performances are charged with raw emotional, and take a page from her rock and roll predecessors, building and cascading with the varying moods of her multidimensional songs.
