S&S Records, Inc. (and S&S Chicago, Inc.) was established by 4-time GRAMMY® nominated producer and House Music pioneer Steve "Silk" Hurley and global DJ/Producer Shannon "DJ Skip" Syas. Silk and Skip merged Hurley's worldwide commercial success and Syas' strong global following to form S&S Records.

Here we have yet another essential EP for your House Music Collection brought to you by S&S Records. 

This exclusive release pulled from the archives of the Silk Entertainment collection features one of Silk's first productions created in the bedroom at his parent's house on the South Side of Chicago. Although it was created in 1983 during the birth of House Music, "I Don't Know” was not available comercially until its vinyl release in 2000. A favorite of the legendary DJ and House Pioneer, the late Ron Hardy, it was played it regularly from reel to reel at The Music Box and The Underground.

Also included on this EP are Silk’s underground classic, "Oom-Dah” and the rare instrumental version, known as "Doom Doom."

Feedasoul Records gets a thumping two-tracker courtesy of label newcomer Ron Boss. This EP centers around connection and collaboration. Ron Boss teams up with Street Sound and Marcus Raute on 'Never Give Up', a house cut reminiscent of the UK scene. A no-nonsense 4/4 rhythm, scintillating hi-hat patterns and a wobbly synth bassline provide a driving foundation for the mesmerizing vocals and heartfelt keys. On the flip side, Ron Boss and Street Sound display a side that is both intricate and delicate. 'One Day' builds atmosphere from the start with spacey pads gluing the heavy tribal percussion while horns build up into the mix. The track culminates with the drums taking the backseat, beautifully balancing the percussion and horns with the atmospheric synths pads and breakdowns. A heavy hitter of a track.
