Sun Cream

This album is made by Bplrxxiii and Native Cell. We worked on and off on it, over a period of two years (2017-2019). It was a fun creative process, sending each other ideas back and forth to achieve intriguing sounds and soundscapes. Our inspiration was taken in nature and the infinitely large and infinitely small. Mixed with retro-futuristic vibe, ambiant and glitchy spiked details.

Pour ce volume très spécial, nous avons interrompu la retraite de bplrxxiii (@bipolar23) dans la jungle péruvienne et il nous a fourni une des sélections les plus déjantées que nous ayons eu la chance d’entendre. Ça ne surprendra pas ceux qui sont déjà familiers avec son œuvre, éparpillée sur une douzaine de parutions la plupart du temps autoproduites (avec comme exception notable un disque pour la regrettée étiquette locale @unlogmusic), en solo ou avec son acolyte @native-cell. Son style d’IDM profondément imprévisible et sa maîtrise des dérèglements de rythme et de ton font de lui un artiste singulier de la scène locale. Il nous propose un mélange extrêmement bigarré de ses compositions et de celles d’artistes de tous les horizons, de l’électronique au rap français.

With a deep appreciation of analogue sounds and field recording, TSF's performances are always an engaging trip from ambient electronica to up-tempo triphop.

Based in Montreal, Canada, he also has established himself as music producer, sound designer and film and multimedia composer.
