As Lost Crate first release for this new year, we're more than happy to welcome French producer JP Lantieri with his first solo EP on our imprint: 'Monochrome'.

Both tracks, the acid-touched 'Monochrome' and the groovier and pulsating 'Black & White', are trademark JP Lantieri: rich-sounding, exquisite progressive cuts; this time with a more darker, edgier techno influence.

In these times, I have a lot of time on my hands which I feel like is a blessing. Everyday I'm waking up, having breakfast, meditate a bit and go to the park for a work out. After the 4-hour morning routine, the day starts off with a couple of hours working on my old and new music: producing-, mixing-, and mastering sessions. The rest of the day I fill with some other tasks to be done. It feels like I'm moving 'Forward' with my plans and ambitions like never before. So, how suiting is it to drop a 3-track EP called 'Forward'? The EP consists of 3 original tracks which have one thing in common; the driving, rolling, and forward (bass)synth. To me, the pushing sound represents moving forward instead of standing still while the world turns around. 

The production, the Mixdown, and the cover I did myself. However, it's the first time that I gave the mastering session out of hands in order to have that second ear. Thanks to @modestcrow for the masters!

North of the South plays a great roll into the Techno music scene in europe as a Dj and Producer, coming from Venezuela to London, bringing exciting sounds with a south-american touch.

His career began in 2016 working alongside Darkest before Dawn Records and London Sound Academy, Giving him the opportunity to perform in great places like Ministry of Sound, Egg London and Horse & Groom, As well as touring during summer 2017 in Ibiza with Parasol Tv and CaciquesDJ who gave him a window to be shown as a Dj in many places like Itaca beach bar, Hush, Ibiza rocks, Rio and their own Parasol boat party playing aside djs like J P Lantieri, Ornery and Peter pavlov.

North of the South focus on Techno and tech-house and of course keeping the roots alive wherever he goes working with elements from organic instruments and rhythms found in latin music, making sure everyone is having the best time, as he always says “let’s keep the good vibes up just as much as a latino does”

The future vision for North of the South is simple, being able to spread his good energy and share his music taste with his own productions to the the world, representing his roots mixed with his experience of being a Dj in Europe growing as an artist creating DJ sets that will be remembered by the crowd.

"When I performed in a club in Bavaria, the event went out of control. I was booked for a warm up set before playing, I noticed that my dj colleagues were acting very strange because I already knew there were a lot of hard drugs involved. When I was done with my warm up set, the next act played for about 45 minutes, after that he dismantled the dj equipment at around 2:00 am because he thought it was 5:00 am the whole event was chaos. In 2017, he rounded out this transformative stage of his career with a string performances in Ibiza. 

The two brothers decided to part ways later that year to focus on solo brands and explore London's formidable Techno scene, where Tomas developed a keen ear for the meticulous sounds and rolling drums of the genre.

His music evolved into a unique blend of acid techno and minimal sounds, presenting his first release with the Berlin based label, Lost Crate.

Today, Tomas White continues to cement his brand with the core values of minimalistic, fast-paced, music design and innovation, in constant pursuit of something new and exciting for his audience.
