Alex wrote the first version of "To You" with Blake Densmore back in 2019 on a WhatsApp call. Then last year, I got a chance to rework it into a banging version. The song itself has come a long way.

Alex said, "To You" is basically an open letter to anybody in the past who hurt him and how it's made him a stronger person, hence the title "To You" - it hasn't just been one person, he left it very open on purpose. It ends with "I don't think I know myself," which is how I cope when people hurt me - I question things.

I've been on a same phase in the past and this song really resonates on me, I hope this relates to anybody who's facing the broken relationship. This song is "To You", out now on "Magic Records"

Following the early single from Tomatow & Vanessa Victoria titled “Curious” as the beginning of the friendship, “The Things We Do” is about a risky situation, a kind of modern social situation people might refer as a flirtationship: more than a friendship, but less than a relationship.

Vanessa about the song:
“I had a foggy memory about writing the song, I guess it was around December 2019.

The difference with ‘Curious’ is, it was the ‘Can I actually get to know you’ phase, while this one’s more about ‘Now that we know each other, what’s the finish line?’

I listened to the beat Ricky (Tomatow) made, started toplining* and thought to myself this might be a good fit for a scenario of the city lights in the highway, window down, wind passing through my hair, and all that about the fun with a person but not necessarily a romantically involved person, while having all the internally kept doubting questions, like ‘Are we going somewhere with this? Are we gonna grow feelings? But it’s also okay if we don’t, though. Let’s just roll and end up somewhere for the night.’

So this song goes very well with the screw-it mentality. More than that, it’s up for anyone’s interpretation and way to tell their own story. It’s an open ending. So grab your sip of wine because it might lead to another, and enjoy. Drink responsibly folks! And please don’t drive under the influence of alcohol."
