For the 7th iteration of the Fractal Tapes Podcast, we are very lucky to be welcoming Naarm / Melbourne-based young gun, Trustee. In a short space of time, Trustee has successfully made a name for himself in the Naarm scene as not only an incredible selector in all things garage, breaks, UK funk, jungle and just about everything in between, but also an incredibly talented producer. Having released solo projects and a collaboration with fellow Fractal Tapes alumni Prizefight, Trustee’s technical ability is demonstrating knowledge and maturity well beyond his years. By playing numerous shows across Melbourne, Trustee is proving to be one of the most exciting talents to come out of Australia, and will be one to keep an eye on for years to come. Below are some words from Trustee regarding the mix. 

“This mix showcases the sounds and genres I’ve had the pleasure of exploring recently with tasteful wubs, big drops and bumpy flavours. On 25.12.2020 Gimme A Break Records releases our second compilation, ‘THE 12 DUBS OF CHRISTMAS’ for free download on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. 

This album hopes to bring some Christmas cheer to the electronic scene after a year of great struggle. With 12 nasty remixes of classic seasonal hits, our compilation stretches from UKG wobblers to breakbeat rollers and even includes a few Donk dubs. 

2020 has been a bit of a shocker so let’s see in the New Year with a bit of a laugh. Massive love to all the wicked producers involved as well as Ian Munro for the beautiful artwork and Alfredo Romero for sorting the album levels. Merry Gabmas Everyone x
