The story behind the music: 

It was about a year ago when I created the intro and the buildup of Smoke. The chords just flowed out of my hands into my keyboard. Every little sound in the buildup is where it is because it just felt right. This track contains the most nuance of all. I listened to what I had just made, closed my eyes and my mind filled in the missing pieces. Listening to the track I heard missing elements inside my head until it felt complete. Every time I then added something new I spent a lot of time on tuning it to fit in with the rest. 

The drop was made later in the process, a few weeks before my live performance. While playing the drops melody I improvised on stage. The little variations on the melody were a spontaneous result of an idea I had on the spot. I never got the chance to record the exact notes I played but somehow they just didn’t leave my mind, so I later added these variations as a second drop.

The reason the track is called Smoke is because a flume of smoke moves slowly to where it wants to be. It has a certain gentle movement to it, a certain nuance. I feel the same way about the way this track sounds so I named it as such.
