"Me he tomado este mix como un viaje de aventura. Una aventura que comienza tranquila, pausada, como los primeros pasos que das al abandonar el hogar llenos de fuerza. Poco a poco partes experimentales y oscuras empiezan a tomar control, adelantando el peligro de esta hazaña que llegará a su punto de más fuerza o acción en la parte más salvaje de la escucha. El desenlace nos lleva poco a poco hacia la celebración tras el viaje bien concluido".

I took this journey as an adventure, the type of adventure that starts in a calm way, like the first steps someone takes full of hope when its time to abandon home. Little by little dark and experimental themes start to take control, the path leads us to a more dangerous section that suddenly becomes fierce and wild in which the outcome and end of the journey is celebrated.

One moment you throw your arms in the air because the bass drop arrived unexpectedly, and the next you freeze, enveloped by a dense fog of ambient sounds, before a chopped vocal sample subtly conjures up the next tune. Interlooping rhythms, sudden mood shifts, and weird leaps to wherever the bassline heads, are the key signature of the Berlin-based dérive. Known for her UK Bass-driven sets, she chose her name wistfully, as the definition of the situationist movement's concept shows: "a mode of experimental behavior linked to the conditions of urban society: a technique of rapid passage through varied ambiances." A sentence one can think about, or dance to – if dérive puts on another banger.
