As Warriors celebrates its fifth season at Sankeys Ibiza, residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody mix a double album composed of entirely exclusive tracks.

Returning to Sundays at the Playa D’en Bossa club, the party series recently announced their summer lineups spanning the likes of Groove Armada, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Skream, Huxley and VIVa founder Steve Lawler. Throughout the 2016 season residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody will be regular fixtures at the events, which is why VIVa have tapped them up to craft two mixes exemplary of Warriors’ distinct musical aesthetic.

Turning heads ever since his debut on Hot Creations four years ago, Mark Jenkyns has since followed up with appearances on Rinse, Dogmatik, Leftroom, Resonance and Crosstown Rebels, not to mention collaborating with Inxec as 12 Stories with a release on VIVa MUSiC last year. Meanwhile, Leftwing & Kody have been making waves since emerging in 2012, releasing on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Hot Creations and MadTech when not pioneering their own Lost Records imprint.

Jenkyns’ mix initiates with a percussive production from Leftroom founder Matt Tolfrey before erupting into lively material from names such as Resonance Records founder Max Chapman, Kreature and Tom Budden until a crunchy cut from Josh Butler concludes proceedings. Meanwhile, Leftwing & Kody’s tracklist sees the likes of Jey Kurmis, Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi, Hauswerks & Anek, Cera Alba and ONNO, not to mention fast-rising newcomers Solardo.

Following on from releases by label founders Sleeperhold and Mongo, the third High Tide Recordings release comes from ALiVE Recordings founder Tom Budden.

Carl Cox, Groove Armada, Hot Since 82 and James Zabiela are just a few of the names that have shown early support for the Southampton based imprint since its launch last year. Tom Budden now joins the roster for the label’s first release from an outside artist. Highly regarded as the founder of ALiVE Recordings, Budden first appeared on the scene a decade ago with a collaboration alongside Alan Fitzpatrick and has since made appearances on the likes of Get Physical and Gruuv.

Our Debut Transmission ‘In Focus’ is a deep and mesmerising house number that blends sweeping atmospherics with sultry chords and tasteful breaks. Tom’s Blurred Refix then focuses more on the groove as ebbing bass throbs join icy synths before Moonface reinterprets ‘In Focus’ giving it a dark and shadowy aesthetic.

You can completely visualise their cool parties as this sets the mood pretty sharpish with the brilliantly deep opening track, Night Plane – ‘Angels of sin.’ The party continues with a few tempo and mood changes but always with an emphasis on quality stylish house grooves. Late night grooves to have your head nodding. Now to get an invite.... 9/10

The Dirtybird regular, now resident of San Francisco delivers his single 'Work It Work' - a fabulously bouncy tech house number full of flavour, 808's and a hypnotic rolling bass line. A great track from a very prestigious and talented producer heavily supported by the likes of Claude Von Stroke and Justin Martin.

Remixes come courtesy of South coasts finest and rising star Tom Budden - he treats us to his groovy ALiVE re-work of the original. Plus a remix from Rachel Barton, who transforms the original with chunky drums and whirling synths - the upcoming producer supported by Annie Mac, creates that perfect track for all dance floors.
