Recording of a vintage Guild 3-knob Foxey Lady.  At the end I try to cop some Fripp violin-style vibrato to see if it gets that singing tone.

To me there is a hint of Muff character, but you can easily hear that it sounds nothing like a modern-day Muff. The tone stack is very weird. In the first run-through of the riff the Gain and Tone are at ~3:00. The second run-through, and the single-notes, are with everything at max. A Muff at those settings would sound completely different.

Foxey Lady

As a custom option on the Yellow Spiral I can reverse the Girth control and make it a Shave control.  This progressively shaves-off high end without ruining the inherent tonality of the Yellow circuit.  In this audio demo I play though all Shave settings and Texture Toggle settings.  Play-by-play notes are in the comments.

Kent Distorter Test (Schaller Fuzz OEM)

Audio test of prototype Germanium Brute Fuzz using NOS RUS MP38A Germanium transistors.  No clipping diodes in this one, this is all 100% transistor gain.  Various fuzz gain settings and guitar volume settings throughout.  Ignore the image aesthetics, it was made from parts I had lying around.  Signal Path:

This is an acoustic demo version (including mistakes) of a song that my current band - Lost Ships of the Desert (LSD) is working on.  It's about a relationship that was doomed from the start.

Nothing Stays The Same

Friedman IR-X clean channel with the new software update with and without fuzz.  I've loaded Ownhammer IR's into the Friedman (Greenback w/R121 mic), Fuzz is Spiral Summer Cyan BC108C.

There's a little bit of buzzy-ness when the fuzz kicks in, but I found it could be easily dialed-out at source.  Like many other direct solutions it is easy to hit the input too hard and make it sound nasty, so closely managing input levels is crucial.
