‘(Don’t) Wanna Fall In Love’ is a love song that pretends it isn’t one. Centred around a seemingly negative lyric, the song confronts some of the uncertainties associated with falling in love and is Tom’s most personal song yet.

Reminiscent of Motown, Stax and other Soul music from the past, as well as more current Blues-Rock artists such as Gary Clark Jr. and Tedeschi Trucks Band, ‘(Don’t) Wanna Fall In Love’ perfectly fuses the old with the new. 

Recorded over lockdown with real instruments and performers, and primarily using analogue equipment, ‘(Don’t) Wanna Fall In Love’ authentically and lovingly recreates sounds from the past, while doing so in a fresh and contemporary manner.

A passionate and energetic love song, ‘Say You’re Mine’ is subtly introduced as a song about “desperately loving someone and hoping they like you back”, before striding into a rocky verse that details these emotions.

Bringing together a range of Tom’s influences, ‘Say You’re Mine’ is a heartfelt and direct love song that is fun, exciting and bound to get feet tapping.

Reminiscent of Norah Jones and John Mayer, ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’ begins with a solo acoustic guitar, and is then joined by brushed drums, piano and bass, slowly evolving into a simple yet effective love song. With imagery such as “closed curtains, light shining through”, the song tells the story of waking up from a dream and wishing it could go on.
