Symphony of Voices: Composed/Produced by Tom Donald in collaboration with the Citizens of the World Choir.

This entire "symphony" was recorded in the depths of the 2021 UK lockdown winter, all remotely using Zoom/WhatsApp through the composer's home studio, and assembled into a Symphony of Voices, a layered electro-acoustic cinematic soundtrack that documents the challenges and hopes of our times.


First Movement "People Places"

This was recorded in January 2021, with all spoken word sections recorded over a Zoom meeting with citizens covering over 20 countries. Plugged into synthesizers, I created a symphonic styled polyphony of sounds and layers with piano and a Gorecki-like narrative and structure emerged, which inspired the rest of the movements of this "Symphony of Voices".
