Ape Drums’ signature progressive dancehall rhythms has already garnered support from some of the world’s top DJs & musicians including Major Lazer, Skrillex, Sean Paul and DJ Snake. The Houston, Texas native branches out a little on his first solo release for Mad Decent. "Go Crazy" sees Ape Drums with guest Dougie F and showing their ability to appeal to the radio without pandering and staying true to their roots. Following up "Go Crazy," Ape goes back to his roots with a destructive dancehall smash featuring Major Lazer and Busy Signal. "The Way We Do This" may sound familiar to some as it highlights one of biggest dancehall riddims of the late 90's that still get rinsed to this day. Ape Drums breathes new light into the beat and creates something soon to be the soundtrack to 1,000 vine dances. Ape Drums is about to take over; 2016 is definitely his year!

September 16th see House music royalty Groove Armada make their debut on Riva Starr’s acclaimed Snatch! Records imprint with their brand new EP entitled, ‘House With Me’.

This essential three-track offering follows the world-renowned Grammy-and-Brit-Award-nominated duo’s ‘Little Black Book’ album release on Moda Black last year plus their more recent ‘FabricLive87’ mix compilation.    

The EP’s title track ‘House With Me’ commences the release, taking the listener on a funk-driven dirty House groove full of sassy Saxophone riffs, crunchy bit-reduced drum samples and a recurring spoken word vocal stating “Eastside Boom, Westside Boom, Northside Boom, Southside Boom” from Chicago’s Ghetto House legend Parris Mitchell. 
 
Next up is ‘U Can’, which takes us on more of a late 80s/early 90s Balearic House vibe, encompassing a distinctive soulful male vocal, warm pad sounds and rock-solid drum programming reminiscent of tracks like Joe Smooth’s House classic ‘Promised Land’ and Raze’s ‘Break For Love’. 

Last but not least, Snatch’s label boss Riva Starr step up to deliver and tasty-and-cheeky edit of one of Groove Armada’s most successful tracks to date, ‘Superstylin’. Riva’s fresh-sounding rework features most of the original’s main ingredients but tweaked and manipulated to fit around a stomping new House groove. 

‘House With Me’ EP is available exclusively via Beatport from September 16th and the rest of the world two weeks later.

Surely one of the most defining house records ever made and an out-and-out classic, Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ was first released on Soulfuric Deep, then licensed to Defected Records where it reached #8 in the UK charts. Returning to Soulfuric Deep with a package of five quality remixes, it’s clear that ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ is still resonating on dancefloors 20 years later. Flourishing duo Illyus & Barrientos present two remixes, the Last Boogie Mix introducing a piano riff and Club Refix going deep with a tougher club sensibility. Dr Packer maintains all the original’s most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Finally, Angelo Ferreri presents two mixes, with the Vocal Remix already being a favourite with DJ’s long before its release. The Vocal Remix is an undoubtedly modern take on the classic, giving it more of a peak-time feel with bouncing production and a rolling groove. Angelo’s Sweety Remix loops alternative vocal moments with looser percussion for a more laidback approach. It’s not easy to do justice to an ultimate soulful, vocal house banger but these three remixers have achieved greatness, taking this beautiful record in some welcome new directions.

It’s almost impossible to fathom the success Camelphat have had in the last 12 months. With Grammy and Ivor Novello Nominations, alongside charting as Beatport’s biggest selling artist, their impact is truly astonishing. However, making hit records and receiving such accolades has been no overnight success for the pair. Camelphat have been working tirelessly in Liverpool and beyond for over a decade, making music under various guises and styles. Camelphat and Yousef have known each other for many years. Much alike one another they’ve earnt their stripes, contributing to the dance music industry in a plethora of ways; DJ’ing, running events, running clubs. Naturally, this friendship, teamed with Camelphat’s admiration and understanding of Circus Recordings, led to the exchanging of demos that finally manifested in this release. Opening track ‘The Solution’ is nothing short of relentless. Having had numerous plays out, the track has been dubbed ‘check-mate on the dancefloor’. With second track, ‘DMT’, Yousef was immediately hooked on the way it pushed the boundaries of Camelphat’s vision further than ever before. Indeed, a fully twisted techno work out that sees heavy kicks and driving bass build, amid looping sirens, to not one but two huge crescendos. This EP showcases club music with the heftiest of parameters. Undoubtedly, another enormous EP for Camelphat and a fitting following to the equally enormous ‘Say Something’ by Nasser Baker already out on Circus Recordings Distributed by Strikeforce 360 Media
