I premiered this piece with members of the Avanti! Chamber Orchestra while attending the Savellyspaja composition masterclass during their Summer Sounds 2015 Festival. Magnus Lindberg conducted.

Waterfall

Recorded in Staller Recital Hall at Stony Brook University. Corrine Byne (Soprano), Zach Hobin (Contrabass), Dan Pate (Percussion). The text is my own, written as a sort of response to Rumi's poem "The Mirror for the Moon", as translated by Kabir and Camille Helminski in "The Rumi Daybook".

Tomek Regulski (b.1985) is a Manhattan-based composer of electroacoustic, chamber, and orchestral music.  His degrees include a DMA in Music Composition from the University of Maryland at College Park, a Masters of Music in Composition from Binghamton University, and a Bachelor degree in Music Composition from Hartwick College.  Awards and fellowships include the Wylie Dissertation Fellowship for Amber Leaves (sitar and interactive electronics, 2012); as well as funding from the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center for the collaborative installation Transposed Resonance (2012).  He was recently a visiting artist at the University of Maryland's School of Dance, Theater, and Performance Studies (2013).  Recent performances include the premiere of "Dry Spell" by Maciej Frackiewicz.
