Kamilo Sanclemente is one of the most prolific and well loved artists on the global progressive house and techno scene, delivering hit after hit for labels like Anjunadeep, Global Underground, All Day I Dream, UV, Freegrant and more. His first release on Dissident Music arrived last summer with the driving and hypnotic “Time Capsule,” which now sees new life in the form of two new remixes.

First up: Dissident honcho and progressive stalwart Noel Sanger teams up with Indro Sartorio (aka Abstrakt.Digital) to kick the energy up a notch or three. They’ve put together a pumping, percussive, progressive remix with deep techno influences. A little bit of a different vibe for the guys, and well worth the price of admission.

Next, Dissident regular Kaspar Tasane delivers a proper grooving progressive interpretation sure to tick all the boxes for progressive house fans. Another essential piece from Kaspar, with the sound he’s become so well-known for; he knocks this one right out of the park.

These lyrics push towards the general theme of the song, which is, as stated by AURORA, “Why is it so difficult to let others be themselves?”. “Cure For Me” insinuates that people are attempting to cure the very things that make a person themselves. And of course, that AURORA does not need such a cure.

Also, on a conversation with Genius, AURORA explained this lyric:

    This line is directed towards quite a lot of things. It’s a weird thought that, if you change important things about yourself that makes you you — if it’s physical, if it’s the way we are, our sexuality, our love —, if we suppress these things about ourselves, we will glide through life much easier. ‘Cause, the second you fit in, you can have a much easier and happier life, which I think it’s so sad. It’s really sad, it really upsets me how many people feel this way. And I feel like most of us are in a kind of abusive relationship — if it’s with ourselves, with our own self-hatred, if it’s with religion, if it’s with social media, making us feel bad about ourselves every single day… I think it’s definitely a thing I feel we need to say more.
