This year RETRO returned to its spiritual Halifax home, Platform (formerly The Tube). After 2 successful events in the run up to Christmas it only felt right to take on a December date. As you all know Tall Trees used to be a massive event with people travelling far & wide to follow the RETRO phenomenon. This will be THE ONLY New Years Eve event RETRO will be taking on right where it belongs, at its birthplace… Platform.

After being at the forefront of the Leeds club scene for over 4 years and holding residencies in just about every major City across Yorkshire, the rest of the North & Ibiza… It’s time to come out of retirement! We took a 7 month break from our last event at the Warehouse, Leeds. We couldn’t help but feel that club land was changing and recently its all about the big ’one off’ events & outdoor festivals, rather than weekly or monthly ties.

We want to take HECTIK in a new direction & bring some unforgettable, unrivalled parties like we all know and love. This is the first ’Big’ event on our new path… With the biggest beats and unbelievable party atmosphere come and be a part of what everyone else is talking about. The one and only HECTIK… IT’S GOING OFF!

The greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th. Biggie was and still is our favorite MC ever and Crack-T did this “Best of BIG” mixtape a few years ago already – to be exact in March 2005. 

WIth all due respect to the artist you wont hear too much cuts & tricks on this one, but a lot of his timeless classics, plus a few dope and rare songs, unreleased interviews and live recordings of the G.O.A.T.!

Tom Garnett first made his appearance on the the underground dance scene in his hometown of Leeds. Emerging fast with tracks in 2011/2012 in the Jackin House scene that was fast sweeping through places like Leeds & Birmingham. Playing alongside acts such as Chris Lorenzo and Hannah Wants and releasing multiple underground bangers! 
Tom held a club residency at the mighty Mission in Leeds for 9 years every Saturday night rubbing shoulders with some of the UK's biggest acts! Aswell as DJing all over the Uk and internationally from IBIZA to South Africa! 
 2016 to present has Tom has focused on fresh new styles and rising more in the tech/house scene with new styles of tracks that have been supported frequently by credible names such as MK, Hannah Wants, Arielle Free and many more! 
 With much more music and releases to come from Tom the future is looking big in the coming year!
