Almost exactly 6 years after the release of "Deeper Shades EP Volume 1", Lars Behrenroth decided it's time to release more of his music. The 50th Deeper Shades Recordings release including 4 tracks with a total runtime of 35 minutes is an EP (Extended Player) in its truest sense.

The first track "Kord" is a deep and spacey groover which unleashes its full groove half way through. 
"Keep On", the 90's reminiscent track 2 on this EP is straight for the floor and a name familiar to all from Volume 1, Chezere, completes it with her vocal talents. 
"Time" is a melancholic and heady trip full of warm and deep chords and the last track "Denots" is an almost 12 minute long mid tempo journey through synthesizer and Rhodes sounds alike.  

Much like Volume 1, this 2nd edition of the Deeper Shades EP series is a small representation of Lars' taste and selection.

Midas Touchin was written as a response to the turn the US has made since Trump has been elected. Hate and ignorance have come out of the shadows and are able to truly see that the dark ideas that helped build this country are still very much alive. Midas Touchin is a vision of a golden day when there is a new leadership based on the people. It is about the movement of people speaking out against injustice and taking back their power. The lyrics outline a day when we all rise up and transform this nation, and the serious celebrating we will do after that change has been achieved. 

In this single, Life on Planets’ explores new sounds as he takes his sonic experimentation deeper into his hip hop and rnb influences. Blending classic pop sounds with electronic twists and powerful lyrics, Midas Touchin represents a call to action, and a freedom from limitations in genre and scope. 

50% of streams and sales for the rest of 2020 will go to The Poor People’s Campaign, a collective centered around getting lower income Americans to the polls, and combating racial injustice to show people that we really do have a say in how this country is run.
