"Leipzig is the new Berlin" they keep saying. What sounds like a controversial statement or even insult to some, is an expression for missing the more lose, less regulated Berlin of back in the days for others. One thing is for sure: Leipzig's electronic music scene is something truely special, which brought up incredible talent in the last 30+ years. Amongst them our friend Lydia Eisenblätter who we invited for this month's episode of our podcast series.

"The basic harmony of the heart is energy. If you look around for creative minds in the German techno scene, you will quickly come across the name Lydia Eisenblätter. 

With her energetic, analogue, straight sound, she had a striking reflection of her personality pressed on vinyl, founded her own label and released exciting records. With her label OAM she showed courage and the right feeling for good sound, which is reflected in her worldwide collaborations. During her gigs, Lydia exudes an authentic mixture of honest, heartfelt basic harmony and dynamic, uneven, rough edges of her personality, which make their way onto the dance floor in the form of driving tracks.

Listening to her own releases you will find very personal elements of her soul, which, like the fragments of a disco ball, she knows how to combine into a beaming something. Her unique style has been able to develop over many years and numerous well-known personalities from the techno scene have been her companions and sponsors. 

After her studio in Leipzig has become her second home, it is not surprising that she will release new records in 2022. Look forward to pure energy and joy made in Germany."

What a fun club, what a sweaty crowd, so many friends & mates on one dancefloor. Thank you all for stomping through the 4 hours set with me. And thank you Südpol for having me.

After many attempts this year to record my set at festivals/clubs & many setbacks with that (bad recordings, broken recorder, it didnt start, overdriven record.. etc).
I tryed one last time this year and this time the sd card was broken...yay! But some good friends brought later a new one. So that the last 1 1/2 hours of my set could be salvedged. The rest ist lost in space and time. Maybe it was a bad idea to dig up that pirate treasure chest under the ghost house.. but finaly the curse is lifted. (And i buy myself a new recorder for christmas)
