Hertfordshire based electronic music producer Howard Dodd grew up in Hove, and has operated under the Anoesis moniker since 1994. 

His first releases on West London's D*fusion label aimed to combine the intensity of house music and cut up beats, with a nod to cinema and soundscapes. Following the drum and bass release Shatter on Octopus (a Fabio favourite at Speed London), Howard took a break from vinyl to concentrate on life and family, and made a number of releases on the Vorbic net label, under multiple artist names.

Continuing interest in his 90s work led to reissues of Anoesis, Oxidation and Doc Bozique recordings on Semmi Sellang (Budapest), Cosmic Soup (London) and Spray (Berlin), and more recently two new albums on Cosmic Soup and Melbourne based Paper-Cuts. Up and coming new music is also scheduled on Kranq.

Howard has been involved with remixes from and for Bassbin Twins, D. Tiffany, DMS12, The Nextmen and Organic Audio, and was also a member of Tongue (with Tom Withers aka Klute), and the field recording duo Howard Dodd and Keith de Mendonca.

I was blessed 2 have spent a weekend with my brother when he came 2 Orlando, Florida & he did a guest spot on our then Manny Cuevas & DJ Cano'z Deep Underground House Radio Show & then the following day @ Club Firestone. M brother is not just an amazing DJ but a good person. I hope 2 1 day spin along side him again... brother is 100% REAL!!!
