After three weeks spent in Ibiza and a hectic schedule of gigs i'd say this summer has definitely been my favourite to date! - 0913 aims to prolong those summer vibes with it's ibizan influence and includes a selection of beats that i've discovered (and have been loving!) over the past few months.

I can't believe it's August tomorrow, it feels like it was January yesterday!!! What a summer it's been so far though, I'm now heading into the busiest month of my year and I'm buzzing to be dropping this at the start of the craziness. My mixtape series is my way of saying THANK YOU and giving back for your support, it's appreciated!

0715 has been uploaded 4 weeks late due to my BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix (0515) throwing the normal release schedule off a little. My aim is to now get back on track and release 0915 at the start of September. 

This mix contains 20 tracks that I'm feeling and as always from a variety of genres. I'm rinsing some of these bangers on the dance-floor right now and the others I'm just absolutely in love with. Three of the tracks are my own productions; two versions of Hidden Love (a collaboration with Detour City) and one called Just - release details to follow. 

My mixtape's are my 80 minute journey of music, my way to explore, express and share my passion. From all sub genres of house music to my outro's which usually go deep and downtempo, another kind of music I listen to religiously.

Searching for the music and then making them literally takes me days and days but mixtape making is something I really love to do. I hope you enjoy them as much as I love making them!

Rolling Stoned is the second single from NYC duo WE R OK.  While the New York based duo navigated quarantine and two wildly different schedules, they have made sure to set aside 1 night every week to work on new tunes. "Rolling Stoned", is the groups second official single and is now set to release on August 28th. Switching things up from the more laid back vibe of their debut, WE R OK come in HOT on their latest tune, bringing a pumping, end-of-summer vibe that is equal amounts party and depression (they usually go hand in hand anyways). Created after a long night in the studio, the tune started with the hook which quickly set the tone for the rest of the song. Still riding high from the quasi-success of, "Ghosts", WE R OK are ready to kick things up a notch with, "Rolling Stoned".

While on the outside, "Rolling Stoned", sounds like a tongue in cheek party jam, underneath it is a cry for help. This song is meant in no way to glorify substance abuse, rather bring to light a topic that is often kept in the dark. Hold onto the upbeat, silly nature of the hook and the verses will instantly feel heavier and cut deeper.

Having been friends since college, Frank and Brian have now joined forces to create tunes for all of the unstable, hanging by a thread, troubled souls of the world. Engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance records while growing up in Brooklyn, Todd Terry has been a force in dance music for over a quarter century. Hitting it big in England and Europe by 1988, Terry's notoriety began making its way back to the U.S. In addition to DJ appearances, Todd was cutting his classic underground tracks "A Day In The Life", "Weekend", and "Can You Party", released under monikers such as the Todd Terry Project, House Of Gypsies, and Royal House. In the mid 90’s, the Ministry of Sound’s eponymous UK label released "A Day In The Life", a collection of Todd Terry tracks that had been causing dance floor panic. That then led the way to a deal with Mercury Records allowing him to set up a context in which to work with his favorite singers and performers. In 1995, his remix for "Everything But The Girl’s Missing" became a worldwide smash. Tommy Boy Entertainment is a legendary Hip Hop & Electronic label founded in NYC in 1981. The label is credited with launching the careers of notable Hip Hop legends Afrika Bambaataa, Coolio, Queen Latifah, House of Pain, De La Soul, and Naughty By Nature. 

In the late 80's Tommy Boy introduced EDM to mainstream audiences with releases from LFO, Coldcut, and 808 State and is credited with opening the door at Top 40 radio in America again for DJ's with the success of Bob Sinclar's "World Hold On" in 2006.

Known for fusing Electronic music with Hip Hop since its early days, Tommy Boy helped to establish Latin Freestyle and Latin Hip Hop genres with the release of multiple singles and albums from TKA, K7, and Information Society.

In 1989, the label became the first label to market its own clothing line to mainstream consumers via its Tommy Boy Gear line, partnering with brands like Stussy and Carhartt. Tommy Boy continues to license its logo to designers and retailers worldwide including Maharishi and Urban Outfitters.
