Located on the Darkinjung (Central Coast AU), DJ Funk Freeka has a rich history in electronic music, initially introduced to the genre during the early 90s Eora (Sydney AU) rave scene.

Funk Freeka's musical journey has seen a natural evolution, progressing from happy hardcore to house, trance, and breakbeat, until eventually finding a deep connection with drum and bass.

During his travels in the UK, he stumbled upon the captivating sounds of LTJ Bukem, which left a lasting impact, drawing him towards the mesmerising and atmospheric aspects of the genre.

In this mix, DJ Funk Freeka delves into his mid-90s roots, showcasing a captivating blend of atmospheric dnb, atmospheric jungle, and jungle tracks. The selection includes works from artists such as Peshay, Coco Bryce, and Double O. The mix is masterfully prepared with the intent of delivering a powerful experience when played loudly on a substantial sound system.

From a B-Boy to a Badman this 20+ year rave veteran has the knowledge and skills to wreck a dancefloor. ATomMcTom gave up drinking 7yrs ago to learn to play records and hasnt looked back since. You may have seen him in action for Fresh Air Resources, Diversity Productions, DNA and PLUR Kingdom over the last couple years. Not limited to one genre his collection of tunes includes Hip Hop, Jungle, DnB, Reggae, Breaks, and Hardcore. His calling is to bring Heavy bass and breaks to the masses.
