Lines + Lineage is an homage to my family. The song titles are family members born in the early 20th Century that made an impression on me as a child. Uncle Bill was the first song composed and it’s based around a story my grandmother told me about her brother, Bill, sneaking around the house.

Lines + Lineage is an album about family members born in the early 20th Century that made an impression on me as a child. Grandpa Arthur is a song about my grandfather and his experience in WWII; what he experienced and how it changed him.

Grandpa Lebus was a hardworking man.  He grew up working on his parent's farm.  Served in WWII.  When he wasn't working on the farm, he was a bricklayer.  I don't have a lot of memories with him because he passed away when I was in first grade.  This was the first funeral I remember attending.

A staple of the Des Moines music scene across genres, Tommy Doggett has added his saxophone to folk, funk, jazz, and rock. With his new project, Lines & Lineage, Tommy steps up front as a bandleader and composer with instrumental songs about his family.
