After being known from the more melodic side of electronic music, Scottish producer https://soundcloud.com/obviouslydan delves into fast-paced, grin inducing melodic techno with his ‘Pearls EP’.

The lead track ‘Pearls’ is led by an infectious, gritty flute motif that grabs your ears and almost forces you to smile with how happy and bouncy it feels. Underpinned with a thumping drum track and a big, bold bass line, this peak time record is a club anthem in the making. 

‘Byson’, on the flip-side is just as club ready as ‘Pearls’ but with a few more of the melodic elements that we’re used to, from an obviouslydan record. Reverbed vocal snippets dance over classic sounding piano stabs, supported by yet another big old bass line. 

Hats off to this young producer - these two are belters!

Our supplies, 2 weeks worth of nutrition for the entire party, ran out days ago. Strangely enough none of the remaining members still traveling with me feel hungry or show any signs of fatigue. Even sleep has become entirely optional as most of us just lie wide awake, unable to rest our minds. There’s someone or something calling to us - to me specifically - from ahead, always seemingly  just a chamber away. While this journey drives further into the unknown I find myself wondering if we’re still descending for our mission or if there’s something within ourselves emerging, some innate or primal curiosity that keeps pushing us deeper.

Ever since Tommy Farrow’s 2020 single “Let’s Just” blew everyone’s minds, he’s been on the radar of just about every house head on the planet. Over the last three years he’s had tracks crowned ‘Hottest Record In The World’ by BBC Radio 1, won support from Sarah Story and Pete Tong and played many respectable UK institutions from Warehouse Project to Electric Garden Festival. In 2023 he dropped two singles from his upcoming 7-track EP – “Her” and “We Should Find The Stars” – which gained early support from Radio 1 and KISS FM as well as participants of packed dance floors. Now Tommy counts industry titans Kevin De Vries and Fideles as fans, with releases on the likes of Stress Records and Armada Music. There’s no doubt 2024 has Tommy Farrow’s name on it.
