Contrast. Objection. Antithesis. This is how you might start an attempt to describe the world. A seemingly chaos of shapes and thoughts that don't belong to each other. An overall image to be found in life and in music. But that's not Fiedel’s view of the world. Where others make distinctions, he sees connections, where others find emptiness, he finds rooms full of opportunities.

Finding those harmonies, connections and contexts marks out his musical work. The synthesis of apparently opposing music, the interaction and the mix of styles and moods, without loosing the storyline, that makes out the characteristic Fiedel sound.

Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome in 1986 and based in Berlin. Since his earliest youth he has had a huge passion for electronic music, and through hanging out at the famous record store from the Capital “Remix”, he was introduced to the world of djing when he was only 16 years old. He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind. At the same time he met the artist Ken Karter, who introduced him to the world of production and mastering. He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television, working in different recording studios; currently he does this alongside his artistic career. In 2010 he and his friends Conrad Van Orton and Vilix started their own label “Consumer Recreation Service”, which got immediate support from big names in the international techno scene, currently he has been handling “CRS ltd” series, focused on a darker and more industrial sound. Over the years he has released music on many other important labels such as “Ear To Ground, Sonntag Morgen,Genesa, Planet Rhythm, on which he has an important collaboration with the Italian icon Giorgio Gigli, “Silent Age Ep”. In 2016 he also signed an extended six-track Ep with Conrad Van Orton on Developer’s imprint Modularz (USA) and in 2018 on historical SOMA records under the name of “Symmetrical Behaviuor”. In 2017 he started performing live, both individually and as part of a duo with the Serbian artist Scalameriya. This collaboration brought to several relevant releases on the British labels Power Vacuum and the legendary Perc Trax, as well as leading to their appearance in the MORD box 002. At the same time he took part in the latest VA on the amazing “47” label along with Ancient Methods, OAKE and the label owner Tommy Four Seven. He also signed 47’s third solo Ep, following those by Headless Horseman and Killawatt.

Phase Fatale is the techno project of Berlin-based DJ and producer Hayden Payne from New York. Coming from a background playing in post-punk bands over the past years, Phase Fatale is an artistic endeavor that serves as an outlet for his own interpretation of darker, harder and industrial-influenced techno. Brutal productions confronted by sinister atmospheres create a sound imprint that has mutated into a new electronic identity. Rigid drumming, cold synths and bleak samples - the image of future war.

Phase Fatale’s DJ sets rework the connections between techno, post-punk and industrial while his live sets achieve an engrossing sound through the heavy use of machines.

Phase Fatale has released on labels such as Avant! and Aufnahme + Wiedergabe since 2014 documenting his ever-evolving output. 2016 sees him continuing on to Jealous God, the label co-run by Regis, Silent Servant and James Ruskin.

He has become a repeat offender on Ali Wells fronted Perc Trax, and has seen his debut album released on the esteemed and immovable Tresor Records. Manni has also seen releases on imprints such as South London Analogue Material and Leyla, and flexed remix muscle for the likes of Daniel Avery, Louisahhh and The Horrors. As a DJ, he has performed acclaimed and dynamic sets at some of the world’s premier techno haunts, from London to L.A, Berlin to Bogota.

For this mix I wanted to do the complete opposite of how I DJ in a club. Normally I play three or four tracks at once, layering sounds and loops with them and cutting between them very quickly and aggressively. Here I am letting the tracks almost play out in full and taking a calmer, more relaxed approach. The tracks themselves range from music from Stephen Mallinder's debut solo LP Pow Wow from back in 1982 to upfront promos I've received in the last few days, there is some deeper techno but it is mainly melodic and atmospheric tracks.

Boundary-defying British artist Tommy Four Seven has been a respected visionary in the international techno scene for almost two decades. Since launching to global notoriety, he has continued to be an in-demand selector and producer known for his ability to capture the dance floor with a palette of dynamic sounds and rhythms.

As accomplished in the studio as he is behind the decks, Tommy has built an extensive discography that's grown in parallel with his touring career. His critically acclaimed debut LP, Primate, imaginatively fused off-kilter rhythms with four-to-the-floor minimalism, while his follow-up album, Veer, excavated even more daring and driving techno-adjacent territory. Tommy has also pushed his musical experiments beyond the dance floor with his group These Hidden Hands, a collaboration with mastering engineer Alain Paul.

47, Tommy’s own imprint, is responsible for some of the most innovative techno in the scene today. Its recent 2.0 relaunch has cemented his singular stylistic approach; in the last two years, it has showcased up-and-coming artists like Quelza, Flaminia and VSK, who stand for the sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that Tommy threads through his own mixes and productions.
