"I recorded this mix during the last days of summer. I spent a lot of the summer in Europe, gigging and swimming along the coasts of Italy. I wanted to preserve those feelings of joy, tranquillity and lushness in a soundtrack that could be revisited any time of the year. The mix ends on a special track by Eli Escobar and I called “Take Me,” released earlier this year."

Dj/ producer Kim Anh has been serving her diva-soaked and acid-laced sound for well over a decade. Once dubbed by Vice as a “club queen” she has been a long-time figure in the underground queer club scene. With appearances on several labels such as Gigolo Int’l, Afro Acid and Robert Johnson Live she is now at the helm of her New York based record label Can U Not Talk.

It was an honor to get to close the Burned Room for the Por Detroit take over at [sic]. I really enjoy playing in smaller side rooms, making eye contact with the crowd and feeling the intimate energy right in front of me, and giving dancers a deeper alternative to whatever might be happening in the main room. I leaned into tracks with more percussive elements throughout the set, moving from peak hour selections into my trademark house sound before giving a soft and spacey landing. Lots of long and drawn out blends and cinematic builds, with a couple fun vocals thrown in for good measure.

Resident disco queen Macarena (@macarenagl) and house maestro Tommy Hart (@tommyhartdj) teamed up for a surprise b2b in the Main Hall this past December. What started as a spontaneous collaboration between two close friends was nothing short of a sonic feast: a crudité of feel good disco, hands-in-the-air house and high energy anthems. Girl Dinner is served.

While it's impossible to fully capture the energy in the room that night, this recorded live set gets close. An hour and a half of sweet and savory tracks to feed the soul. It's fun, it's fresh, it's Girl Dinner!

About the mix: "This set was recorded in the spirit of my last few sets I have released. It was a one-take mix meant to tell a story, therapeutically act as a reflection of my current emotions, and to showcase my peak time energy and overall range. I love so many subgenres of house and I wanted to bring definition to many of them including acid, garage, jacking, NY, vocal, and minimal with a little sprinkle of other genres of electronic music worked in. I was trying to get out of a challenging headspace, thinking of so much pain and suffering in the world and my own situation as I start a new chapter of my life. I wanted to conjure the feeling of heading for an intentional night out of release, choosing to live my life, yearning for love and gathering, seeking a safe space to be my authentic self. Choosing joy over despair - an energetic shift that ripples out. This mix is filled with all the deep grooves, driving energy, heavy percussive cuts, and soulful vocals that make me appreciate house music at its most therapeutic value. Listening intently, moving my body, breaking a sweat, and feeling some sexual energy. Dance Floor Therapy is the best kind!"
