Maddening (Arturia Keystep & iSem)

This is nothing really, just the early stages of an idea, but I've finally got what will be the first stage of my new set up, after much selling of stuff on Ebay - an Intellijel Atlantis, so I thought I'd share a little bit of my first experiment. The drone is from the Microbrute and the patterns are from the Atlantis, controlled by the Keystep via CV. 
And yes, the rest of the case is empty for now, but first steps...

Late night 70's meanderings. Started with a sequence using the Microbrute's sequencer, tweaked and recorded live, then layered some leads (if you can call them that) over the top. All Microbrute, recorded using Cubasis on an iPad with AuFX Dub and Altispace for delay and reverb.

A quick first test recording - I just wanted to hear a single VCO and the filter in isolation first.  I start with the triangle wave, then introduce the saw, followed by the square with PWM using the filter's 3 attenuated audio inputs. Later introducing some emphasis/resonance and back to just the triangle wave. Very simple stuff.  More involved recordings and videos soon to follow featuring this beautiful sounding instrument.

AJH MiniMod - 1 VCO and Ladder Filter

People sometimes asked what synthesizer I used in my original 2009 cover of this composition. I didn't say at the time, but I used 4 instances of the Oddity VST. I always planned to re-record it if ever I got the real thing. Well, I didn't get an original Odyssey, but I got the Korg version, so I dialed in the same sound and multi-tracked it.

Frequency Central System X Oscillator & State 700 filter(low pass output only). Fed notes manually. Filter resonance, mix levels from the vco's square and triangle, pwm amount and speed all tweaked in real time/manually. The higher octave/pitch is the filter self-resonating. Recorded into AUM on iPad, reverb from Virsyn's AudioReverb. Single-track recording. Melody from a composition I've been working on. Headphones and coffee recommended.
