This is a quick recording me and Tim did on a very tight time-schedule a few weeks ago for Pauline's film. I wasn't going to share it but it seems particularly poignant this evening.

Songbird was first recorded for his debut EP, Sixteen Hours and remains a favourite of his followers, some of whom were asked to feature as backing singers in the final choruses of the track. The simple melody in the chorus gives audiences an anthem to remember. For this reason, it is usually the finalé to his live show, after he has taught his audience the tune. Someone You Loved - Tom & Lucy (Lewis Capaldi) [Sunday Sessions]

I am a musician originally from the North East and now living in London. 

I've had a very successful year playing music to some wonderful audiences in central London with a new, fresh group of session musicians. 

Bio:

Tom is a classically trained singer but is known in London for his contemporary music in an acoustic duo with Double Bass player, Callum Mcguinness. 
2 guys, one vocal, one undersized guitar and one oversized violin. 
For festival events they often draft in some other musicians. 

Grade 8 and Performance Diploma at Distinction standard. 
2013, Excellence Award from the London College of Music. 
2015, Associate Diploma of the London College of Music. 

Career highlights: supporting Olly Murs, Diana Vickers, Amelia Lily, Tommy Reilly, Black & Henry Pressman + a Royal Albert Hall performance at the 2011 BBC Proms. 

Released in the September 2015, Sixteen Hours was produced at the studio of Chris Rea's brother, Adrian (who also features as drummer). 
Adrian has over 40 years experience as a session musician, worked for the BBC and toured/recorded for many high-profile bands.


Songs were written by Tom on acoustic guitar + voice before other musicians were asked to improvise their part and record it live. This was the result.
