Under new alias C'est Moi, Alex Niggemann delivers a very special treat on Dessous Recordings that demonstrates the sheer depth and range of his outstanding production talents. Marrying a deadly deep, garage-tinged and American-influenced vein of house music to his polished, distinctively European sensibility, 'This Song' will have diehard fans and new converts alike nodding heads and swinging hips on the floor.

The title track is an impeccably executed groove with acid-tinged analogue sounds bubbling up from the depths as the tune gathers in power. The spoken-word sample embodies its ambitions: this is house music as storytelling in the vein of DJ Sprinkles or Marshall Jefferson's 'Mushrooms'. 

Dario D'Attis's remix roughens up the edges of the original in fine style, adding thump, bounce and distorted metallic tones before a fizzing climax engineered for pleasure on peak-time floors. 

The package is rounded off by a real deep house burner: the spacious, pulsing 'From A Bird's Eye View' with its soul-drenched vocal, distant strings and glimmering chimes. 

'Play this song about 3 or 4 times a day', says the voice on 'This Song': a prescription for an EP that's destined for heavy rotation.

In 2009 we released our first season collection called "somero2009" two years later coming back with an another huge collection of fresh and already well known talents and artists. the double vinyl starts with Matthew Dekay & Lee Burridge great song "out of order". Pirupa drops with "raw orbit" an awesome ruff techno track. The french connection G-Rom, Jef K & Gwen Maze gives an amazing dreamy house song. From russian we got Tripmastaz & Arram Mantana
with a trippy circus track. One big newcomer from Stuttgart city is Emanuel Satie with his old school addicted track "Hans". Julien Bracht & Martyné are two of the new talents from frankfurt-freebase connection, watch out for them !!! Arado & Marco Faraone the german-italian team kicking with "Get Reverse" a real groove bass monster. And something special from Düsseldorf/Germany the new talent Lahib Alekozei gives his best with a romantic and mind catching song "Behind closed Doors"...

Premiere: Ki Creighton - Nightshift

On September 2nd Techno mainstays Pig&Dan are set to release a special EP entitled ‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ via their own imprint, ELEVATE, which will soon celebrate its milestone 50th release.

This exclusive remix package features four stunning reworks of ‘Growler’ and ‘The Saint (Job San)’, the lead tracks taken from the duo’s acclaimed fourth album, ‘Modular Baptism’ which was released earlier this year. 

‘Modular Baptism’ was a record that further solidified Pig&Dan’s status as one of the most exciting Techno acts in the business, with the album claiming the #1 spot on Beatport and singles such as ‘Growler’ reaching the top spot in Beatport’s Techno chart and #2 overall.

Kicking off proceedings are two alluring reinterpretation of the duo’s aforementioned banger ‘Growler’. The first comes from Spanish DJ/producer Alberto Ruiz, who fuses the original’s deep resounding synth-riff with warped industrial sounding effects, and the second from rising London-based Brazilian-born talent Vinicius Honorio, who ventures down an even darker route with fierce distorted synths crashing against the more melodic moments of the track to great effect.

Following on are two excellent re-rubs of ‘The Saint (Job San)’. The first comes from revered NY based DJ/producer Boris, who turns the melodic masterpiece into a sharp, dark Techno roller featuring a relentless array of synth stabs. The second remix comes from French-born Geneva-based underground king Lee Van Dowski, who provides a euphoric sounding framework by bringing the original’s piano chords to the front of the mix and introducing squelching synths towards the end of the 8-minute number to further fuel the climatic finish.

‘Modular Baptism (Remixes)’ is available exclusively via Beatport on September 2nd and everywhere else two weeks later.

We are happy to welcome back Berliner duo Luna City Express and Swiss house music artist Dario D'Attis for this hot collaboration release.
Each artist has deliver an original track and they have also remixed each other. The result couldn't be better and the mix between these two artists productions style sounds amazing.
