Everything was legendary with Robert is from Dave Graneys 2014 solo album FEARFUL WIGGINGS. 

The album has been a year in the making. Very minimal art pop in approach. This dynamic track leads us into it. Acoustic guitar, bass xylophone (like a Marimba) and thrilling percussion. Wild pop dynamics, the voice right out front like a 60s Country star should and massed , reverbed harmonies.

An elusive Pimpernel/Withnail  type figure. Dave Graney writes a song in a Ray Davies style. With a Bo Diddley / Latin feel.  

The recording features Dave Graney on driving acoustic, twin harmonizing electrics and bass. Clare Moore on percussion and bass xylophone.

The last few years have seen Graney and his band the mistLY blowing the roof off of small clubs with the jaw dropping electric guitar pop jams. .FEARFUL WIGGINGS is a new scene. A little folky - a little jazz in the chordings. A lot of countrypolitan in the vocal register and level in the mix. Drama, of course, and grooves. Kind of pop.

Cambridge-based singer Robjn is a writer on British Art, alongside his music-making. Something of a serial collaborator working in the bands Laserlong and Cliff Child. He's also sung for film composer Justin Marshall Elias (Circle, 2015) & sung for musicians all over the globe. Here he releases his own songs.

It was co-written and performed by Peter Gabriel and Tom Robinson. It was recorded specially for Nicky Horne’s Capital Radio show and broadcast for the first time later that day. The pair played a charity concert at Hammersmith Odeon on 24th December 1978. They were joined on stage by Phil Collins, Elton John and Mike Rutherford, plus members of Tom Robinson Band and Peter Gabriel’s musicians. I found this track in a box of tapes that I had kept for close to 40 years. I was delighted to find it still played OK. As far as I can tell this track has never seen an official release, although a re-recording was released by Tom Robinson sometime in the early 1980’s after TRB had split up."

Randolph is watching a telecast video on his Ipod 253s whilst passing the twin stars of Pollux at twice the speed of Dark. Unfortunately he is pulled over by a Geminium Ranger Patrol. They seem unconcerned about the devilish speed but inquisitive about Randolph's choice of Music. Communications officer, Roc Petrona warns Randolph via his implanted Audi-listener that summary executions have been reported by the Geminiums' for travellers who have the wrong 'Taste' in Music. What should Randolph say ....'Am I Rock' or 'Am I Soul'.

Tom Robinson (b.1950) is a songwriter and broadcaster who's released 14 studio albums and won two Sony awards for his radio work. He champions new independent artists on his podcast The BBC Introducing Mixtape on 6 Music and sponsors the music blog Fresh On The Net. He's also co-written songs with Elton John, Peter Gabriel and Dan Hartman over the years. The original Tom Robinson Band first became known in the 1970s as supporters of Rock Against Racism and LGBT rights, following their breakthrough hit  ‘2-4-6-8 Motorway’
