The King Cycle is also known as the Historical Cycle. These tales are essentially about Kingship, the fortunes of Kings, and Kingship as a marriage between the King and the realm (and sometimes the goddess, a symbol of the land). Prosperity in the realm was intimately connected to the quality of the King. In addition the king was frequently bound by certain restrictions, called ‘geasa’. The more power you had the more this needed to be contained.

Making Sense of Death, 181007

God is love, He loves the world, He fully knows us, and nothing in all creation can separate us from His love.  Even so, death, hell, and our daily struggles seem to invalidate the evidence of God’s love, but in reality, any invalidation is not God’s doing but ours.  Moving Beyond Death looks at death, hell, our struggles, and Jesus’ finished work which has removed every obstacle separating us from God (Colossians 1:21)  Be blessed.

Beyond Death, 181014

Is the gospel and Christianity about separation and division?  In  2 Cor. 6, Paul tells believers to come out from among them, to touch no unclean thing to be acceptable to God, to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and even Jesus said He came not to bring peace but division.  It’s easy to understand how so many believe the gospel is about separation and division, but is it really?  And this is what today’s message is about.  Be blessed.

A Gospel Of Separation And Division?  181104

Man’s created in God’s likeness, empowered with His breath to exercise His dominion in creation.  And then the lie being more powerful than truth changed everything, at least that’s what we’ve been taught.  Do you really believe the serpent’s lie is more powerful than God’s truth?  Paul didn’t (Colossians 1:21).  Putting on God’s armor is about embracing who we are, whom we’ve always been, and is at the core of exercising His dominion.  And this is where we begin.  Be blessed.
