Industry heavyweights @moerbeck, @matrixxman, @jeroensearch, @anthonylinell and @pan-pot themselves share their interpretations of @wigbert's work on ‘Distorted Matter Remixes'.

Starting off strong is Mørbeck’s version of ‘Reflection’, with a charging kick drum and heavy acid line powering the momentum. Furious cymbals and a high pitched synth line push the tempo. Up next is Matrixxman’s Labyrinth remix of ‘Automatic Loop’, a dubbed out bass heavy edit where a galloping kick drum pushes along with determination. Last on the A-side are Pan-Pot with their edit of ‘Xcelerator’. Surrounded by a thumping kick drum and shooting snares, a distorted vocal reverberates its way throughout uttering the name of the track.

On the flip side Jeroen Search delivers his version of ‘Focus’: a percussive workout with an array of different drums working simultaneously together. Mischievous synth lines are balanced by uplifting organ chords. Last up is Anthony Linell's Sunday Adventure Club (S.A.C.) remix of ‘Reflection’. This slower paced track marches along to a pounding kick drum and rattling hi-hats. An ever present bass line brings weight and texture to an already heaving track.

Titled Vommuli and set to be road-tested heavily over the coming weeks, the record is the first club-oriented single to be released since the unveiling of Ecletric back in April, and will drop on EDX’s PinkStar imprint on Friday, August 20.

Germany’s Pretty Pink presents her debut single on Anjunabeats, ‘Come Back’.

Pretty Pink first appeared on the label earlier this year with a progressive remix of Gabriel & Dresden’s ‘Remember’. She runs her own label, Wanderlust, as well as a second label and event series, ‘Deep Woods’. She’s hosted events with Lost Frequencies, Thomas Lizzara, Milkwish, AKA AKA and more. In March 2020, she hosted Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Guest Mix and more recently starred in episode 693 of Anjunabeats Worldwide.

Produced during lockdown, ‘Come Back’ was debuted on her own Deep Woods radio show and was a standout moment in her Anjuna Unlocked set earlier this summer.

Oscar L’s star continues to rise for Adam Beyer’s labels; after a trio of Truesoul EP’s between 2017-2019, he stepped up to make his debut on Drumcode in 2020. With a new year comes a fresh Truesoul offering, comprised of a triumvirate of cuts fit for different musical moods.

The Spanish artist expands his repertoire with ‘Under My Skin’, the title track is a perky groover driven by deep bass stabs and a cheeky vocal that will be familiar to many. Keep ‘X’ in your back pocket; it’s a weapon that builds like a sky scraper and is made for peak-time moments, when the opportunity arises. ‘Sharing With You’ was debuted at BPM Costa Rica in January 2020 and is a chugging, vocal-led gem with plenty of low-slung energy.

Part of the new brigade of artists making their mark on the label, Veerus lands his fifth release in two years on Drumcode.

With a pair of EPs and numerous contributions to the coveted A-Sides compilation under his belt since his debut in 2018, Veerus has established himself as a talented go-to producer for Adam Beyer; from his stirring cut ‘Hypnosis’ that highlighted the Drumcode founder’s Cercle performance, to the killer ‘System’ that provided an early 2020 moment for the label. His consistent vein of form will result in a coveted spot at Drumcode Festival Malta 2021 in September.

‘Recovery’ continues the Italian’s talent for crafting powerful melody-led techno projections. The title track is an ace. What begins as a smoky atmospheric cut is quickly elevated to beast status as intergalactic robot stabs shatter the mist, while an acid-underbelly adds to the mood. ‘Dysfunction’ brims with a distinct 90s synth aesthetic, propelled by a crisp and classy bottom end.
