Premiering on DHA is Human Machine, a musical project composed of four Sicilian DJs and friends: Musumeci, Sisio, Simeone and Pavi.

Mixing their 4 different musical roots and skills into one new identity, the Sicilian combo have a simple rule: make danceable music. After their debut 12" 'Black Mechanism' on Engrave Ltd put them on the map, Human Machine made an appearance on Connaisseur Recordings with the strong 146 EP still hot in Ibiza and in the most influential DJs' sets. This time around Human Machine's latest EP will be released by the Berlin-based label Exit Strategy, already receiving full support by Ame, Dixon, Solomun and Adriatique.

In the summer of 1996 I bought a CD called In Order To Dance 5.
The music was intriguing to say the least. It was an introduction to all kinds of techno, from experimental, hard or minimal, to soulful and warm.
One of the tracks that stood out for me was Mengs Theme by Point Blank AKA Secret Cinema. It was a 7,5 minute intense musical trip with overwhelming repetitive melodies and hunting percussion.
Mengs Theme remained one of my very favorite tracks since that summer.
Re-releasing it on Green with my own remix is nothing but a big honour.

"Sink Or Swim" here, oozes elegance from the first kick drum to the very last; a brooding build up of melodic keys and tension building pads swiftly evolves into an expansive and emotive main room floor filler, resplendent with huge gnarly bass hooks and driving drums. The career of Ali Shirazinia, who has been innovating dance music under the name Dubfire for decades, proves that any artist can remain fresh and relevant through many phases of a given genre. The lead single off his ‘Lotus' EP is a pristine example as to why. 

This track sees Shirazinia explore a much more progressive, melodic sound than is his usual fare. What's more is he collaborated with a fellow legend, Carl Craig, in producing it. This release will be his first on Damian Lazarus’s Crosstown Rebels, after a well-documented friendship that goes back years.
