Petal, a rising starlet in the Brooklyn electronic music scene, presents RECEIVING MY FLOWERS, her debut album exploring the journey of learning to love oneself. Raised in the real-life version of Snobby Shores (Long Island), the Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and organizer is dedicated to improving the status of “Little New Jersey.”

Since 2023, Petal has made waves by performing at venues such as The Lot Radio, Le Bain, and Nowadays, and she’s just getting started. Petal enjoys producing and mixing music in the same way she lives her life, by blending ideas that don’t normally go together. When asked about how she got her start, she always uses the same line:

“Music was my first love, and sharing music was my second love.”

RECEIVING MY FLOWERS is Petal’s most ambitious project to date, spanning genres and moods. It weaves together footwork, techno, jungle, and ambient music, occasionally accented with playful vocals.

XVIII returns with a third album: Quiet forms yield to impact. Ambient drift, fractured electro, and raw techno force converge.

The third full-length statement from XVIII arrives on his own imprint, extending the label’s austere vocabulary into new terrain. Across its duration, the record moves fluidly between studies in restraint and moments of visceral release — a body of work that folds ambient architectures, static propulsion, and fractured club matter into one continuum.

Pieces like You Carry Light Everywhere You Go, Vein Loop, and The Bird anchor the collection in hushed, weightless space. The latter opens toward a fragile, near-classical register, piano motifs dissolving into silence. Elsewhere, Oceano pulls downward into pressure: a submerged techno cut, sculpted from low-end mass and slow-moving resonance.

Corrode, Margiel and Ander inhabit the label’s core terrain — propulsive, textural techno carved from repetition and surface abrasion. Diapason dislocates into off-grid electro, while Anti pushes in the opposite direction: a stark, hammering cut that revisits a harder language XVIII has long left dormant.

The result is a record that moves between clarity and distortion, reflection and impact. A third chapter, but one that folds the weight of the previous two into something newly defined.
