Quintens was composed with then 11 year old Quinten, based on his interest in hiphop. The musical fifth (in Dutch: kwint) has served as an inspiration, based on the boy's name, but I'm not sure whether the interval ever appears in the song.

Blues on blogs (2007), was a birthday present for a friend's 60 year anniversary. The bass-line (starting with E) is a direct musical interpretation of the friend's name, where all the letters have been used in their correct order. The lyrics have been taken from a handful of blogs I found on internet, and are all one way or the other referring to the friends situation and personality. The vocals have been sung by the composer (me).

Deep dive in the Rockall Trough, on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, west of Ireland. Submarine sonar, motor and pumping sounds, waves and other ocean sounds accompany us on our travel through this dark place.

Multi-track bass organ piece, dedicated to my good friend, with whom I share the love for the music of Philip Glass,  Arvo Pärt, and Steve Reich. 
The piece has been created in Logic Pro in september 2025.

A 9'15" track that I composed July 2019. Using my voice, all kind of stones, a drum and the electronic effects of Logic Pro software. Now here is the challenge for a videomaker who gets inspired: to make a movie with this exact piece of mine.

New music: Life As A Stone, by Ton Bil

The very first piece I composed using electronic devices. Inspired by the music of UK 1970's prog rock band Gentle Giant, I put together different moods, harmonies, and rhythms, in quite rapid succession. It's a song to amaze the listener.
