Entering 2021's fourth quarter in style, Roger Martinez's Higher States welcomes Roberto Caceres & Jose Tabarez to the label for their debut single. Based in Budapest, Hungarian artist Roberto Caceres was a DJ first, playing at events all across his country and abroad, performing in Austria, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and the Ukraine. Although still early on in his evolution as a producer, Roberto's progressive sounds have already found a home on Consapevole Recordings and Eternal Beats. Also hailing from Hungary but now based in the UK, Jose Tabarez has been a staple of the progressive house scene for the better part of a decade. The Birmingham resident has racked up nearly two hundred discography credits, highlighted by releases on 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection, Clubsonica Records, Soundteller and Stellar Fountain. Now collaborating for the first time, Roberto and Jose present their much-anticipated Higher States debut 'SyMaLiMi', alongside a remix from RIGOONI.

Although 'SyMaLiMi' marks their first joint production it's clear the creative synergy between Roberto and Jose is strong. The Hungarian duo marry an amalgamation of dreamy soundscapes and buoyant rhythms over a rich, well contoured groove and flurries of exotic percussion. As the main break takes shape a more distinct and supremely emotive theme emerges, as colourful fragments and childlike vocal elements converge for an impassioned blend of momentous audio. A perfect prelude to a groove-centric drop and reflective, key changing finale that's destined to leave long lasting memories on the dance floor.

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'SyMaLiMi' is RIGOONI. Hailing from São Paulo, Vinícius Souza aka RIGOONI has been rising out of Brazil's electronic music underground. An appearance on Nick Warren's Balance compilation in 2019 set the course for what has been a two-year creative swell. UK behemoth Anjunadeep, Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Proton's Particles and meanwhile have all served as landing spots for the talented Brazilian. Having made his Higher States debut in October of 2020 with his 'When Midnight Comes' single, RIGOONI now returns to the label with a gorgeous rendition of 'SyMaLiMi'. Beginning with warm beats and effervescent percussion, it's the pulsating nature of the groove which becomes instantly compelling. Driving, chunky and full of great character, it anchors what is an emotive slice of progressive house. Emerging melodies and nostalgic chord changes marry soulful instrumentation and youthful fragments across the first act, before a break of glowing overlays and whimsical effects spearhead a classy drop and stirring finale. A touching interpretation from the Brazilian artist, which rounds out a memorable Higher States debut for Roberto Caceres & Jose Tabarez.

If we speak about credible and cool deep house productions Marc Lenz is already since quiet a while an artist you should have on your list. He is releasing on regular base on such high profiled labels like 8 Bit Records, works very close together with the one and only "Gorge" and he's also handling his own label imprint called "Degree Records".

Now his first release on "Ohral Recordings" - the "On Cloud Nine Ep". The title track is a deep deep house track with a quiet melancholic feel to it. the repetitive synth line will definitely put you into another state of mind while listening. On the other side "Use Me": a track that builds and builds, latest when the funky baseline moves in it will catch and shake your body, mind and soul. All that without any cheap showmanship... The  release  opens  with  the  title  track,  The  Mask  Of  Sanity;  Over  8  minutes  of  haunting  synth work and expertly compiled drums that build to a bubbling crescendo of that Reset Robot sound we all know and adore. Track two is Bil'am's Donkey; A harder more-to-the-point weapon with pounding  drums  that  doesn't  mess  around.  Next  up  is Paradise  Lost;  This  is  more  of  a  driving affair with a house twist. Expect to hear this one on repeat across dancefloors this summer. The release  closes  with Oak  Ridge  Capsule;  Mechanical  yet  groovy,  moody  but  danceable,  this  is exactly why we love what Reset Robot encapsulates so much.

Tone Depth has been making music for many years but he doesnt seem to get older...... He just gets better and better. This is his 2nd release on Noir Music and I can assure you there's more to come in the near future. “Escape” contain's 3 instrumental and very intense tracks. They are all cleverly build for the underground floors. They each have their own special signature and carry that powerful Tone Depth production level. Each track on this EP immediatley made me “escape” into the music, took me on a journey and captivated my attention throughout the running minutes of each piece. I have been playing these tracks since the day I received them track by track and they really do grow on you (play for play) like great music always tend to do.

Cid Inc's 2016 'State of Everything' EP marked a welcome return to his critically acclaimed Replug Records imprint. While focusing on material for Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, it ended what was a two year hiatus from original projects on his home label. Following a nomination as Beatport's best progressive house artist for 2016, the new year began in spectacular fashion with a remix of 'Pan-O-Rama' by Roger Martinez, also coming courtesy of Replug Records. Delightfully driving and devilishly hypnotic the rework sits as the Finnish artist's lone production of the year. As Cid Inc. has continued to travel the globe pushing his progressive minded sound, anticipation has grown for his first original project of 2017. Once again the stars have aligned for a return to Replug as he now presents his latest artist showcase entitled 'Shifter'.

While distinctive in both cadence and design the Cid Inc sound is ever-evolving, proving his musical talent knows no boundaries. Played out over four stylistically diverse compositions the collection begins with the peak time opus and title cut 'Shifter'. Electrically charged with thumping kicks and rising rhythmic structures it's energetic intensity swarms over a four minute first act. As the beats fade into the main break buzzing synths and spine tingling pads converge for a minute of unadulterated bliss, before getting washed away into a killer drop. 

Emotive and cinematic in equal measure, the fluid energy continues with 'Wanderer'. It's delicate framework is inspired, elusive yet charming, mesmerizing with each successive loop as percussive details fill in the storyboard. Melancholic chords rise into the second act as the groove remains locked, before the synth euphoria gets engulfed by a static wave and it's bubbly effervesce carries you home. 

Taking the journey into more emotive territory 'Arcane Thoughts' entices both the heart and mind. Exceptionally developed groove aesthetics make for a pulsating framework while Cid Inc's musical imagination takes you on an expressive ride. Vivid melodies invite you into this impassioned beauty which eases wonderfully into the EP's 

Every Cid Inc project is met with much anticipation and 'Shifter' proves to be his most creative and stylistically diverse EP to date. Highly sought after and just in time for the summer festival season, the much loved artist has perhaps raised the bar yet again.

As Guy J’s exceptional Lost & Found imprint reaches the milestone 50 releases, they look back at 3 moments which have made the label so successful. Bristling with talent, the label has showcased the amazing Israeli progressive scene like no other. 

First up comes long time friends and collaborators, Sahar Z and Navar with their 2017 smash, When We Face Reality re-edited by an inspired Khen. Deep, soulful and utterly beguiling, the melodies soar in melancholy wonder. 

Khen is the next artist to get the remix treatment, this time from Belgian superstar Hermanez. Focusing on Khen’s incredible sound design, Hermanez builds a uniquely melodic groover from all manner of percussive sources. 

Finally, Luka Sambe’s Sooti, here gloriously reimagined by Eli Nissan. The most uptempo of the trio, Eli weaves a nuanced tail with sweeping sonics, deep pads and cleverly orchestrated toplines.
