Jean-Simon Bélanger (AKA Tone Selekt) was introduced to the world of electronic music when a friend took him to one of the many rave parties that were disturbing the peace on the eve of 1996.His main initial interests were leaning towards the fast rythmic sequences of Drum&Bass going down on the whole planet at the time.

In 2007,Jean Simon makes his first dj appearances;the TONE SELEKT saga was initiated. Afterwards,he played in a whole lot of different occasions in multiple venues and rave parties in Montreal,also pushing his Sound Technician expertise along the way.Being a huge music fan in general,Tone Selekt has explored many different styles,and became an established techno and tech house dj of the local scene,as well as a reference in those specific musical fields.

Tone Selekt  is also a founding member of 64hz, a crew created in 2007.The crew was created first to promote a different sound in Montreal and bring new input to the scene, and also serves as a platform to re-actualize the roots of contemporary electronic music.
