This was my 9th time at the helm for the Man Burn—a tradition I’ve carried every year since my very first burn. To be honest, I was completely exhausted—emotionally, physically, and mentally. As it always does, the music and the people brought me back to life. And in that sea of feelings, I poured everything the burn had taught me into this set.

This year, I chose to play pieces from every era of my journey as a DJ. It felt right to share nostalgic, meaningful songs that aligned with the theme Tomorrow Today. Tracks about time, love, and connection—songs meant to create a living memory for all of us gathered in that sacred evening.

The mix was fully improvised, guided only by what the moment whispered for me to play. I can only hope it became something we will all carry within us—a reminder etched in rhythm and dust.

This recording is from my sunrise set on the Axolotl art car at Burning Man 2025. The music unfolded with the desert light, moving from the light filled night into the warmth of morning. It’s a reflection of that moment when time slows, and the Playa feels suspended between two worlds.

What stays with me most are the smiles, the energy, the eye contact, and the absence of worry I felt from everyone around me. It was a connection I will never forget.
