MiZi MuZiK kicks oﬀ its catalog with a smashing all-female extravaganza. For MiZi TaPeS 001, Mira and Mila Stern present a floor-focused four-tracker comprising exclusively of collaborations with some of their closest friends: MANTi, Britta Arnold, and Niki Sadeki. Join us for a synth-heavy soirée
driven by a love for dancefloor hypnotism in all its iterations.

Mira and LA-based DJ and producer MANTi open MiZi’s discography with a radiant orchestra of swirling, bending, and arcing sawtooth chords. ‘Distance’ bridges the gap between their aesthetics, beautifully reimagining MANTi’s morphing melodics in the framework of Mira’s groovy, slow-burning
hypnotism.

On ‘Refract Glow,’ Mila Stern and New York-based DJ and producer Niki Sadeki fuse Niki’s dreamy, glinting Electronica with Mila’s biting edge. Their collaboration emerges darkly anthemic, with powerful, compact drum structures and pitch-bent salvos of incandescent synths that cut through the rolling gloom like blinding rays of light across a darkening sky. 

‘Cotton Brain’ conjures its namesake state of enveloping dancefloor abandon. A stripped and shoegazy groove, smatterings of whiplash drum hits, and an eerie field of spaced-out arps pulse across a quivering atmospheric void. With ‘Cotton Brain,’ Mira and Kater resident Britta Arnold strip away distractions until all that remains is a shuddering core of pure dancefloor energy.

Finally, Mila Stern and Mira artfully channel their ephemeral overlap into a dark, expansive, and compellingly catchy collaboration. Set to a rumbling beat, blippy percussion, and growling fields of saws, ‘The Ghost Between Us’ gradually builds and morphs, erupting into mangled sweeps and biting synth figures that infuse its shadowy mesmerism with powerful, spaced-out funkiness.

Belgian-Greek artist Naethan debuts on Kiosk ID with ‘Katy’—a bold, electro-acoustic two-tracker that blends highly textured dance music with glitched-out synth work and fluttering, ethereal melodies. Instead of polished shine, Naethan leans into raw, emotional immediacy, coaxing up a one-of-a-kind soundscape—nuanced, eclectic, and with powerful soul and grit.   The title track, ‘Katy’, is a mangled, melodic ballad driven by a beautifully engineered, wildly pitching lead, soulful organs, and warm, hymnal low-end. Constantly evolving through subtle microshifts and technical finesse, Katy unspools and rearranges itself in real time, culminating in an explosion of arcing synth contortions framed by a slow-burning four-to-the-floor beat.   On ‘Hybrid Catalysis’, Naethan sets a choppy break against mournful leads, squelchy bass figures, and airy pads. Cavernous, tactile drum chops and textures form a heavy, physical undercurrent, while shimmering chimes and dub chords ripple across the frequency spectrum—spacious, angelic, and gently suspended over growling, low-end throb.   After a decade releasing under another moniker, Naethan’s alter ego was meant to return him to his roots in emotionally charged dance music. We’re still glowing from all the magical sets, the little details, and the memories that keep playing like a sunrise after a long night.
